Harley Apartment is a delightful first floor apartment situated in the town of Bishop's Castle. This apartment sleeps two people and has a double bedroom, a shower room and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric fire. Outside there's roadside parking and bike storage. Harley Apartment is a convenient base for exploring the area, with the town itself having many amenities and there's walking, cycling and plenty to see and do in this popular area of Shropshire.

Area
Bishop's Castle is an attractive market town in Shropshire. The town offers a weekly market and an excellent variety of shops, pubs and places to eat. It is famous for its annual Real Ale Festival, Tandem Triathlon and regular festivals and fairs. The town is also ideally placed for walking and touring the Welsh Marches, rural Shropshire and North Herefordshire.

Region
A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

This was a very well set up place for two people at a good price.. The town allows purchases of the basics and the Three Tuns PH serves meals to families as well as a good pint. Walks can be had from the town but there are plenty places to go further afield, such as Wenlock Edge. Ludlow and Bridgnorth are musts, while the more adventurous may head into Wales and its wilder scenery.

Considerate owners offer well located, comfortable and fairly priced upstairs rooms in the centre of a quaint, if a little dog-eared, market town with good facilities convenient for many local attractions.. We experienced friendly bus drivers on the only remaining adequate route through attractive countryside to Shrewsbury on the day of the local festival rally through town. Rain prevented our enjoyment of the Open Garden day but it was well attended later in the sunny evening Several castles are close by but we were especially fortunate to visit Studley Court the set of the film Atonement - wonderful. We ate twice at the oldest brewery - good cooking but lacking charm and enjoyed good beer and banter in three other hostelries including the venue for a proficient rock band. Altogether thoroughly enjoyable week!

I would have ticked exceeded expectations but we are returning customers and already knew it was a comfortable apartment.. We enjoyed the holiday and the area. The owner welcomed us personally. He is a pleasant man to chat with.

Harley Apt is a comfortable stay ideal for 2 people .. Situation in centre of Bishop's Castle means access to pubs, shops, restaurants. Great base for walking, cycling and sightseeing.

Perfect location on the High St with all amenities close by.. Only 5 minutes walk from the bus stop from/to Shrewsbury. All necessary equipment supplied. Easy access and arrival with key safe facility. Extra night at no extra cost was very handy. WiFi didn't work but in fairness I did not contact the owners who may have been able to rectify it. With the bedroom situated towards the back of the property it limited noise from the High St so surprisingly quiet given the position. Lovely view of the garden opposite from front window. Wonderful food and beer garden at The Castle and cheaper pub grub of very high quality at The Boars Head.

Uncomfortable bed, needs a decent mattress.. Never had to sit on a toilet in front of a large, full view , window before. EVER !!??

Our holiday apartment was very comfortable and well appointed.. We appreciated the matching furniture and cutlery. Bishops castle is an interesting place. We'll probably go again in summer.

A great location for walking and trips to interesting places.. Bishop's Castle is a lovely little town with two fine local breweries, and some great places to eat.
