Everything you need under one roof. Spent 4 nights just gone, and I have to say it's one of the best we have been to....and we have alot of breaks away in the UK. Super comfy, well equipped and located. Lots of space and a good hot tub. Highly recommended

We had a lovely week here in July 2021. House was immaculate and lots of space to relax in. Best part of the house was the views and spacious garden. Hot tub was lovely and again great views day or night. Easy drive or longer walk to Clun with amenities and had a nice few trips out to Ludlow and other areas. Lovely to see the ponies and horses each day in the next field. Due to location by fields and the heat there was a lot of flies but small compromise for location and views. Would definitely book again.

Group of 10 of us met her for our annual weekender. We’ve been meeting up for years now and have been to many places. This was one of the best. The house is superb, large enough to spread out and cosy enough to get together and chill. We ordered our shopping online and had it delivered. We then relaxed and enjoyed the walks and the scenery for the weekend. Hot tub was lovely, a little old and could do with updating as it was a little cool but we didn’t let that ruin our time here. We loved it so much I booked us back in for next year.

Absolutely fabulous house to spend some quality time with extended family! Breath taking scenery and gardens. Star gazing from the hot tub with very little light pollution was an experience that will never be forgotten! We did not want to leave! Thank you!

The house is amazing and I imagine staying there in the summer time would be blissful.. So much space downstairs that even with 8 people staying there, everyone had their own space. The dvd room is a great idea and our boys absolutely loved it. Will definitely return.

We loved the cottage.. The only negatives were that the heating in some of the bedrooms wouldn’t stay on consistently, the hallway downstairs was very cold even when the heating was on and the window in the biggest bedroom wouldn’t close properly making it too cold to sleep in. Overall the cottage was lovely, we had a really great stay. Really well stocked kitchen, was lovely to have fire wood and the decor of the house was lovely. Very comfy beds!

Bicton Lea was booked through Sykes Cottages for our annual get together. The place was absolutely lovely- spacious, very clean and with the most splendid views over the Shropshire countryside. It was fully equipped with everything you needed and the hot tub was a great asset. We have stayed in the area before but all agreed that it was the best yet and we would all recommend the place to friends and family. Thoroughly enjoyed the place and could not fault it.

We have just had a fabulous weekend at Bicton Lea , which is in an idyllic location , with so much space for a large family group, so that all ages could relax and enjoy the experience .. When we arrived on Friday afternoon the house was cosy and welcoming, with the wood burner blazing merrily in the main sitting room and the central heating warming the upper floor We were fortunate with the weather for mid October, and had a classic Indian Summer weekend, with misty mornings and glorious late afternoon sunshine. Perfect for enjoying all the nearby walks or just sitting outside and soaking up the sun . The hot tub went down a storm with the youngsters too . Altogether the best property I have yet rented anywhere ( and there have been many ) , we shall definitely return .

We had a really lovely break at Bicton Lea.. The house was extremely comfortable, clean and more than adequate to cater for my party of 6 ladies. The views from the house were beautiful and we spent time enjoying these stunning views from the hot tub. All in all we couldn't fault the place and having booked other venues with Sykes we all agreed it was the best yet.

Group of 8 women spent the weekend here as there was a hot tub which was lovely. Whilst we were there for three days no one came and checked the hot tub which as resulted in us all catching folliculitis a bacteria that lives in poor sanitised hot tubs. We all have had to take time out of work to get checked and all confirmed and are now on antibiotics. The spots are really sore and itchy. The owners of this cottage do not want to know and will not take responsibility for their poor hygiene. Avoid this place .

Recently visited as a group of 8 ladies 5 of us returned with Hot Tub Foliculitis - an infection caught from a bacteria present in poorly maintained hot tubs. Whilst we were there no one came to check that the tub was chemically balanced. A book of instructions was left telling us to ensure the water level was topped up but no chlorine tabs were left for us to replenish the floater. It is a duty of care for the owners to maintain good hygiene levels in the hot tub. They have refused to admit any liability. A 2 night break has resulted in us having to seek medical advice and take a weeks coarse of antibiotics!! just hope no-one else has to suffer like we have.

Beautifully situated in wonderful surroundings.. The photos on the website do not do it justice. Some maintenance is required as things are getting tired. Owner was a little too attentive for our liking and spoiled the privacy that we wanted and the garden is not secure for dogs (open to their sheep field). I was concerned that the sheep grazing on the lawn hindered our own dogs to be running loose and free unattended 100%. We vacated a night early due to this so left on the Sunday afternoon. I would probably not return to this venue but I would recommend to others just with a few pointers regards our experience.

The property would benefit from full fencing round the garden which would have made it better for dogs.. There was a lot of chipped plates large and small also bowls. You had to be selective about which you used. Plenty of room and other amenities excellent.

The property and location were perfect.. The view we had was just wonderful. The house was the perfect size for our party of 10. We wish there were less flies but we guess that’s just part of being in the country side, and a few more drawers in each room would have been brill! We loved our week at bicton lea and did not want to leave!

The cottage was well equipped and extremely clean.. The little touches were fantastic, the fire was already lit so the lounge was so warm and welcoming, there was coffee and tea already there, we did replace It so the next people could also enjoy. There were 10 of us and this cottage had so much room. Views were stunning. I could go on and on. Highly recommend. Definately will book again

We had a wonderful week at Bicton Lea.. Fell in love with the house and the view from all the windows. It is a peaceful and modern house and the owners were very helpful. The kitchen is a gem and has everything you could think of. Master bedroom is huge with enauite and the main bathroom has a nice deep bath. I can't actually think of anything I haven't liked about this house. Lovely to find such a nice place that accepts pets as well - our boy loved his holiday! Hoping to go back one day soon!
