These events take place beneath the impressive castle and showcase a range of local goods - from cheeses and fresh produce to books and crafts. Ludlow is renowned for its shopping, with a number of high quality antique and craft shops, along with several Michelin-starred restaurants, numerous tea-shops and pubs. The castle itself is over 900 years old and the Linney Riverside Park provides boat hire, a putting green and children's play area. Ludlow is within easy reach of Church Stretton, Shrewsbury and Hereford, as well as popular attractions such as Ironbridge Gorge, Severn Valley Railway and Berrington Hall.

Perfect Cottage for 2.. Very clean, Bed comfortable, Quiet mews. Plenty of Restaurants and cafes in the town (must book). There is now a reserved parking space available which is about a 5 minute walk. Very useful as street parking is always full. We enjoyed lots of local walks and hikes. We thoroughly recommend

August 2020
The cottage is as described - cute and comfortable, spotlessly clean.. It's location is perfect situated on this small pedestrian access pathway, so it's very quiet and peaceful even though it's just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Our only observation would be that, in our opinion, the double bed is in need of a new mattress! otherwise a lovely mini break that did us both good. Well equipped and has everything you could need, good water pressure for the shower and enough room for two for a break in lovely Ludlow.

There is a parking space which can be reserved a short distance from the cottage which we only became aware about once we contacted the owner.. We found this to be really helpful and I think it could encourage other people to book the cottage if they were also aware.

The owner is really friendly and helpful.. There is now a designated parking place. This was our third visit and it did not disappoint. Super location for central Ludlow. Small but everything so thoughtful.

February 2020
The accommodation was lovely.. It took half an hour of circumnavigation of Ludlow to find, but that was because we didn’t know Ludlow very well and signage was a bit vague. The owner provided details of a very useful parking place and daily exercise was beneficial going to and from this gem as parking in Ludlow is at a premium. As you would expect in February, the weather was VERY weatherish, storm Dennis accompanied us on our journey to Ludlow, and storm Jorge followed us home, but with a combination of waterproof skin and determination many lovely locations were visited, splashing to and from them. We admired many cavernous potholes in Shropshire’s road network, and this made our journeys adventurous to say the least. So to sum up, accommodation 10/10..overall holiday 9/10.

For a November rental it would have been nice if the cottage had been pre-heated as it was extremely cold and took a very long time to warm through..

The cottage was advertised as not having wi-fi , but it does! It would be worth adding that to your description. It was very comfortable indeed, everything to a high standard. Would definitely stay in a Sykes cottage again, this was our second one and both have been wonderful.

A small but very pleasant cottage ideally situated in the Ludlow town center but just off the main road in a private mews arrangement.. Ideal for a singleton or couple wanting to explore Ludlow and the surrounding area.

October 2018
The cottage was comfortable and very convenient for access to the town centre.. We travelled by train and it was an easy walk from the station. The flowers in the living room and bedroom were very attractive but we'd have really welcomed a pint of milk in the fridge to make a cup of tea on arrival. I travelled light and didn't bring a hairdryer so was disappointed not to find one provided as in other Sykes properties we've stayed in. The kitchen although compact had all we needed - however there was minimal information on rubbish disposal as regards recycling. We agree with another visitor that a reading light in the living room would be welcome. Overall we recommend this cottage for a short break in Ludlow.

Lovely comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings.. a fantastic break made even better by this beautiful accomodation.

April 2018
Had a great time in Ludlow using the cottage as a base to explore further afield.. Weather wasn't great which made our choice of a cottage over a hotel a good one. First time time we have used a cottage like this and took "essentials" with us but it proved not necessary as everything was already there. Was just right for two people, great location and getting the key couldn't have been easier.Parking as in most small market towns was a bit of a problem but can be worked round with several car parks to hand. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely little cottage in the heart of Ludlow town.. Everything is a good standard and works well. My only negative is the parking and that is a small one as there is pay and display parking 5 minutes walk so all in all a very pleasant stay and will be booking again as lots of good walking around Ludlow area.

Nice little cottage in the heart of Ludlow, will stay here again, not being able to park outside for more than 2 hours is a bit of a pain but there is parking for £5 a dat 5 minutes walk away.

September 2016
The location was first class and the property was perfect for 2 people.. Couple of things that would have helped, info about the bins and recycling, also a little bit of info about the cottage ie the electric tripped and we just found the consumer box over the door. Minor things on what is a great holiday retreat. Thank you

Have been here 1 week and have another 3 weeks to go. The owners are very hospitable and do everything to make sure your stay is just perfect. I would recommend this quaint and adorable cottage to everyone. Just two minute walk to village shops and farmers market and castle.

- Excellent location, only a few minuites walk to the centre of town, where you can try local food, market on everyday except tuesday (ranging of food, vintage finds and antiques) - Brilliant walks by the river - Accomadation was spot on for myself and my partner, immaculately clean and tidy, worked well for being self catering, perfect little coutyard to enjoy the nice weather and with the fantastic walks by the river we couldn't have asked for much more. - We enjoyed it so much we didn't want to leave and will be defintiley returning soon.

This property is perfectly situated in the centre of lovely Ludlow. Everything is within easy walking distance yet the cottage is tucked away in a quiet courtyard. We LOVED our holiday week in this charming, well-appointed cottage. The bed was very comfortable, the shower pressure and hot water were more than adequate, the kitchen was small but easy to work in, and the fireplace gave a cosy feel to the sitting room.

Perfect cottage for two. Everything you need and refurbished to a high standard. Near centre of town but down a quiet alley so very peaceful. Wifi, TV, small kitchen and great shower. Only negative is parking in Ludlow which is a bit of a pain but cheap car park (Smithfield) is a five minute walk away and you can park in the street outside overnight. (Between 4pm and 10am)

A beautiful little cottage, it was very well kitted out and in a perfect location. Shops/restaurants were within a few minutes walking distance. It was nice and quiet at night, lovely to hear the birds singing and the distant church bells in the morning.

The property was beautifully clean and the welcome basket was charming, thank you. There was everything we needed for our stay and more if the weather had been bad. The front table and chair catches the sun very nicely and the planting arrangements were lovely too.
