• "We had a lovely stay, the room felt a lot bigger than in the photos."

  Perfect location, the village had lots to do whilst being close enough to drive to other places. We loved the balcony looking over the stream and the place was so peaceful. Barry was a great host, and provided everything we could need. We would definitely return.

• "The property & apartment is well kept and very clean."

  The apartment is much smaller than we anticipated, we had 2 suitcases and only one could be opened on the floor at a time(we did not totally unpack as we were staying only 4 nights) and that was wedged in betweem the back of the love seat and the edge of the bed behind it, so access to the bed was from one side only. There was a tall dresser housed inside the clothes closet as there was no space for it elsewhere, so the only place to hang longer items was on hallway wall hooks going to the bathroom. The taps in the bathroom are installed upside down, so the lettering on the taps is upside down as well and so turning the taps on and off is backwards ie.the 'off ' position is perpedicular when it should be horizontal.We forgot to mention this during our stay but with everything else so well kept this will be rectified we would hope. We enjoyed the wine & flowers upon our arrival and Barry was an attentive host.

• "Loved our stay at ‘The Lime Tree’, so much so we have rebooked for near Christmas."

  The setting is lovely overlooking the mill stream which is often visited by Swans, moorhens and coots. Being away from the main road makes it a very quiet spot interrupted only by the relaxing sound of water running under the mill. Parking wasn’t an issue for us, we brought our bikes and Barry kindly let us keep them in his shed. The apartment had everything we needed and we do a lot of our own cooking. Bed very comfortable, we went in the middle of a heatwave so the vertical fan was a god send. Burford is a beautiful place with so many walks and bike rides from the door, not to mention the endless good cafes and lovely old English Pubs in true traditional style. We got married the Thursday before we went to The Lime Tree and our week in general was simply wonderful it could not have been better. Looking forward to returning.

• "Lovely place to stay!"

  The apartment was very clean and comfortable with plenty of light coming in! There was a lovely view overlooking the Mill River where we got to see plenty of ducks and swans. The location was perfect and very central for looking around the Cotswolds. The owners of the place were very welcoming and helpful. Overall lovely stay, and highly recommend. The only flaw was the lack of parking. We had to park on the street and on the weekend it can get very busy.

• "Lime Tree cottage is a very comfortable studio apartment."

  Well fitted out with a small balcony overlooking the River Windrush, idyllic really. Good location, a five minute walk to Burford High Street with a variety of shops and places to eat/drink. Owners were very hospitable, provided good tips of the local area and a nice gesture of a welcoming bottle of wine.

• "On arrival the temperature in the apartment was only 14 degrees and took a long time for the heating to reach a comfortable temperature."

  The bathroom remained cold throughout our stay as the heated towel rail was not sufficient to heat the bathroom. Although aware of off site parking it wasn’t ideal in the rainy conditions. There was a blocked toilet which was resolved quickly by the owner. It was a unique location and extremely quiet and we therefore slept well in an extremely comfortable bed. We liked the fact that there were good eating places within a short walking distance.

  You provided what we needed to accomplish this. Some little touches to make us feel welcome. The only drawback was no private outside space, if the weather was nice (which for us unfortunately it wasn’t) somewhere to sit and relax with a cuppa or a glass of wine as you don’t always want to be out. Otherwise you made us feel welcome and relaxed

  He was very helpful and friendly. It was set it a tranquil setting and we could watch the birds and see the ducks come for their morning and evening feed. Burford itself is a lovely place with plenty of original shops and places to dine. It is a perfect place to explore the Cotswold.

  On arrival we had a warm welcome from owners Mandy and Barry and the fresh flowers, bowl of fresh fruit and milk were also a welcome touch. The apartment is beautifully presented and very comfortable, everything we needed for our stay. We would thoroughly recommend and hope to return soon as there is so much to do in the area and it's central location means all the Cotswold attractions are conveniently nearby.

  Burford did not disappoint. We enjoyed our walks and eating places, the Royal Oak and the Mermaid. Accommodations were good, just a wee bit on the dusty side which (for once my wife says) I did not get out the vacuum and mop to clean up.
