The property

Close to the attractive village of Cuckney, you will discover this heart-warming cottage sitting amidst tranquil grounds with a wonderful lake and natural scenery.

Upon entering, you will be welcomed by a comfortable lounge, comprising of a sumptuous sofa and a dining table for two people, which is perfectly situated next to the one-of-a-kind views.

Stroll outside to be at one with it all from the wonderful patio area; a breathe of fresh air to start your day in a peaceful fashion.

With a contemporary kitchen on hand, breakfast can be prepared with ease, as well as a cosy evening meal after the sun sets.

Wander upstairs for a lovely night's sleep in the super king-size bedroom, which boasts more peaceful views over the location, along with a wet room complete to that of a hotel standard.

Old Mill Cottages

A group of two ‘off the beaten track’, peaceful, well-presented cottages nestled just outside of Cuckney and Langwith village in Nottinghamshire, taking a scenic position with views and clear sunsets from the upper floors, leading out towards the countryside and the peaceful mill pond and river, which rests adjacent to the property and attracts some very rare wildlife such as the Kingfisher, Red Kites, Kestrels (nesting in a nest box onsite) and Honey Buzzards. A variety of Bat species make good use of the derelict adjacent Cotton Mill. From this idyllic retreat, you can enjoy the natural surroundings, appreciating the entire tranquil grounds, which are lit at night by original Victorian cast and copper lamp-posts which create an all-round beautiful backdrop. Perfect for couples, families, or friends, you can make the most of some quality time together, whether relaxing in the homely sitting rooms admiring the landscape or preparing home-cooked meals. With a well-appointed kitchen and a charming dining area on hand, you will feel right at home as you go about your day in style. When sleep calls, the bedrooms come immaculately finished, boasting soft furnishings and a peaceful ambience which flows throughout. Cuckney has an abundance of historical buildings and features worth noting being part of the Welbeck Estate and its fascinating history, the site was originally a water mill dating back hundreds of years. Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak are a short journey away by car along with Clumber Park and Welbeck Harley gallery museum and the artisan bakery school. The wonderful wedding venue at Hazel Gap is also just a short car journey away. All are interconnected by the national cycle route which is also easily accessible from the village. Warsop is not too far away and has a fantastic range of shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy at your leisure. Warsop has plenty of historical buildings and features including a water mill and a windmill dating back hundreds of years. It hosts an annual carnival involving music and sports, held every July. Further afield, the cities of Sheffield, Nottingham and Derby will leave you spoilt for choice, all-year-round.
