• "Solo traveller just back from a lovely week at Beach Cove View."

  The cottage was so comfortable, clean and cosy and the view over the sea and the walk along the beach there was the icing on the cake. There's plenty to do within short drives that was perfect for me and my doggie - beaches, castles and country parks. There was also a lovely welcome pack. I wouldn't hesitate in returning if visiting the area again.

• "We were looking for a relaxing break close to a beach which was dog friendly and had a hot tub."

  I can not believe just how much this property suited our requirements. We were so excited when we arrived, we couldn't have been any closer to the beach. The views from the front of the house were amazing. The house was much larger than expected and beautifully furnished. We enjoyed early morning walks on the beach watching the sunrise. The area was so safe and everyone was so friendly. Shops, cafes and restaurants were all very good with lovely friendly staff. An absolute gem.

• "Beach Cove is a beautiful home from home, right on the seafront."

  Owners were very good at communicating and answered any questions we had. The house was spotless and so comfortable. The only downside for us was that a dog was constantly barking throughout the night into the early hours of the morning. While I know the property owners can't help this, I do wish to leave an honest review of our time here. We went away for a week for some rest and recuperating however we have come home more exhausted than when we left. We couldn't work out where said dog was, or we would of approached the owners ourselves and asked them to be mindful to the other residents. Overall we had a fabulous week away on one of our favourite coasts and would definitely book in the future. The hot tub was a welcome treat and everything is there for your needs. Thank you again!

• "What a wonderful property, so clean, really comfortable and excellent facilities."

  The view is just amazing over the sea, just the best thing laying in bed at night and listening to the sound of the sea. Good location for visiting various areas, Seahouses, Amble, Cresswell, Morpeth and Alnwick were some of the places we visited. My dog loved the beach which was approximately a minute away from the house, lovely walk along the promenade to Church Point too. Brilliant. Thank you for wonderful stay.

  Ideal location. Wonderful views of the sea. House had everything we needed. Very clean, smelled lovely. Hot tub was a perfect end of day treat. Welcome pack was a very thoughtful bonus. And the new cafe/restaurant 50 yards from the house on the beach was the icing on the cake. Would definitely recommend a holiday here.

  Spacious, furnishings fab throughout, kitchen WOW! everything spotless, updated sofa looks fab. Photos need updated on Sykes for this. Upstairs again fresh, fab furnishings views to die for, son brought PlayStation happy with choice of TV’s in rooms, binoculars provided too, bathroom also spot on. Oh forgot hot tub also a hit clever use of space, we also spent time in garden as we had some sunshine also the BEACH is wonderful, we’ll definitely be back, I personally think don’t need mattress toppers on beds they were too hot & sweaty although bedding very clean & fresh, we loved our stay here

• "A great property."

  Second one we have stayed in owned by the same people and both have been fabulous. Literally anything you could need kitchen wise is provided including tea towels and oven gloves. Lovely welcome hamper. Great size rooms, comfy beds. Board games and DVDs are a great addition for rainy days. Wonderful view. Never had a problem parking. I'm a local who moved away and would always recommend Northumberland to everyone for a visit.

• "We visited at October Half-Term (2023) and had an awesome time."

  On arrival at the property we were greeted with a lovely welcome pack (the wine went down very well). The owners of the cottage have really thought of everything and catered for every need - with a TV in each bedroom (my son was very happy as he got to bring his X Box). The cottage was warm and cosy and the hot tub was a welcome treat at the end of each day (sometimes twice a day). Laying in bed on the morning listening and watching the waves was such a relaxing experience. You are close to so many things - Alnwick Castle / Gardens / Lillidorei and shopping in Newcastle. All in all a great week with lovely memories made and we will be back

• "A little gem in Newbiggin by the Sea !"

  A lovely cosy quiet retreat right on the sea-front. Ideally situated and a short breezy walk to the town amenities. The welcome pack was much appreciated ( especially the wine !) and the choice of delivery take-outs in the vicinity was a bonus, especially if you don’t want to do much cooking during your stay.If you do, a spacious modern well equipped kitchen is available. All in all, a great 4 day break that my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed…….even through Storm Agnes !! Good value for money AND with great little hot tub in the backyard ! Recommended.

  Perfect location with amazing views. The property was spotless, the kitchen had everything you needed to make our holiday perfect. Spacious and comfortable, we even managed to cook a Sunday roast as we didn’t want to go out to eat all the time. The beds were super comfy too after a busy day exploring. And of course the hot tub was an extra bonus for us. We loved Beach Cove so much we’ve already booked again for next year . Only extra that could be added would be another loo but we soon got used to that

  The setting is superb, from just chilling with the view from the front window to being able to gently stroll along the prom to the town. The house has everything you could ask for. The only issue we had was with the key safe. It's right on the ground as described in the property details. But as both my wife and I are in our seventies it was a struggle to get down and and see to decode it. It was even a greater struggle getting back up. We did laugh about it and I assume the neighbours had they been watching would have a laugh too. Please move it! As you can imagine the key never went back in till we left.

  From the cosy furnishings to the added extra of a toasty hot tub to dip into after a breezy walk on the beach. The sunrise on a morning was a gorgeous view to wake up to. Also a biggie for me is comfort..and the duvet/pillows stopped me from getting out of bed most mornings. Thank you very much for the hamper (& milk!). Those little touches make all the difference.   But sadly it looks like we won't be able to stay again as I have just looked for dates to book again and now it says no dogs allowed. But we will carry on visiting Newbiggin and find a new dog friendly holiday let.

  Key safe far too low down to reach and read. Couldn't operate the microwave Needs simple instructions not lengthy manuals, same with television. Stairs too steep, But loved the location and views and hot tub superb. Proximity to town good with excellent promenade walk. A downstairs loo would be an excellent addition.

  All the rooms are impeccable and the ultra modern kitchen is so well equipped it just makes the holiday perfect. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was fab.The location was amazing just 2 mins from the beach and the view's from all the front windows were stunning.The hot tub was an extra delight as was the thoughtful welcome pack.Newbiggin is a very friendly and clean town and the walks along the coast were spectacular.Loved every minute of our stay and will definitely return to this delightful gem.

  Very well equipped and tastefully decorated! We had a slight issue with safety on the stairs and the very high step into the bathroom. I had a fall one night by missing the high step and had a very bruised forehead! That said the shower was amazing! A little rail at the top of the stairs would make the cottage a ten star establishment!

  Very comfortable, beach front with great view & so relaxing to hear the sea overnight. Great base to explore more of Northumberland or just to relax as everyone was so friendly. The local beach & others nearby were all clean & relatively quiet. We managed to see dolphins on more than one occasion. The two person hot tub was a perfect way to heat up after a dip in the sea. Finally, the owners communication throughout was excellent & I am confident if we had raised any issue it would have been addressed. Definitely on our return list for the future.

  We had immediate access to the very clean, sandy beach which enabled a good walk each morning. Newbiggin is small but has everything needed and is a good stop off for many attractions in the area. Northumberland is a beautiful county, especially the long sandy beaches, and offers a variety of entertainment - castles, gardens, walks in the countryside and much more. We will certainly visit again.

  Everything you need is there. Views from Windows are beautiful. Walks along the headland with the dog. Dogs allowed on beach near the cottage. A walk down a slope and you are on the beach. Promenade great for wheelchairs. Yes we loved it. So much that we booked again when we got home

  The views from the front room and front bedrooms are amazing. The welcome pack is a lovely touch and the hot tub was great after a day out to relax. We explored much of the northumberland area and would highly recommend the sunset cruise from Seahouses to the farne islands. The property is spacious, clean and well looked after with lots of little touches that make it feel like a home from home. The front garden was well used as was the two chairs in the dining area. The beds were very comfy and bedding provided was of high standard. The shower is powerful and kitchen was well stocked for all your needs. Would definitely recommend!

The kitchen is first class, with a spacious fridge, dishwasher and washer-dryer. Three comfortable bedrooms, with the sound of the sea to send you off to sleep at night.

  It has pretty much everything you need in the kitchen and a lovely welcome pack from the owners.Nicola and Chris were very friendly and quick to sort out a problem we had with the hot tub.The location is lovely with a view of the sea and bay -right next to the dog friendly area of the beach, if you are lucky you get to see dolphins out in the sea too.Parking can be an issue because the beach is very popular but most of the time was able to park close to the house.We shall be recommending to all our friends but I think you need to get in quick to book this gem of a cottage as it was a star find .

  The house was impeccably decorated and furnished throughout, and very comfortable, the views out of the front window were fantastic, unfortunately during the week we didn't spot any of the local Dolphins, however they were active in the bay. The welcome pack left for us was a lovely touch and came in very useful. I would recommend this property without hesitation, the only downsides for me personally was I felt the shower was a bit slippy and would benefit from the addition of a non slip mat, and also that our stay wasn't longer, would most definitely return.

  The soft furnishings are throughout to a very high quality which can be sometimes lacking with some of the dog friendly holiday lets - not with this one. This house is beautifully presented. The owner supplied us with all the info we might need to help us get the most out of our visit and even kindly left us a welcome pack that was much appreciated. Newbiggin-by-the-sea is a fairly quiet seaside town with a feel of past times about it. The clean, white sandy beach is family friendly and perfect for a good old fashioned bucket
