This is the second time we have stayed at Redgate this year which should speak volumes.. Great location and lovely cottage, all the facilities you would need and sky sports a bonus. Amble and surrounding area is very dog friendly. Be aware nearest beach doesn't allow dogs from May to September but there is an accessible beach a short walk away. Plenty of places to eat, try the Sand Bar for breakfast. It's a lovely walk to Walkworth.
Will definitely stay again.

The cottage was fantastic and we just loved Amble Northumberland.. The photos of the cottage were accurate and gave a good description of the accomodation, the owners had ensured it had a welcoming and homely feel. We will certainly return here in the future

Enjoyed our week in June so much returned for a 4 day break in November.. Definitely an all season cottage especially if you have dogs. I’m sure we will be returning again next year. The cottage meets all our needs and more and Amble and surrounding coastline are beautiful.

The cottage is very well equipped and in a lovely position. Views of the harbour from rear windows are really nice. . We left the cottage early because it has the most uncomfortable sofas I have ever sat on. We arrived as the cleaner was leaving, the first thing I did was bleach the sink waste and plugs and washing up bowl..No fault of the owners who have to trust cleaners.

Amble is a great base for exploring the stunning Northumberland coast and Redgate the perfect cottage for us and our two dogs.. We loved the location right on the harbour side with interesting and varied walks literally from the doorstep and the cottage had everything we needed and was really comfortable. We hope to return again and again and just wish we had discovered this part of the world earlier. Looking forward to trying a winter break so that we can make use of the wood burning stove.

The stairs are steep and thus not suitable for anyone with knee or hip problems.. It should be noted that basic staples such as toilet paper, hand soap, laundry soap, and paper towels are not supplied. There is no proper coffee maker. There is a harbor view, but it is over the parking and storage lot of the marina, this is unsightly. The overhead shower is inconvenient.

Been for a weeks break with our 2 dogs, the cottage was comfortable and well equipped. A lovely log burner was very welcomed in the extremely cold weather. This is a spacious cottage and its back red gate takes you to the Harbour and another 50 yards to the beach. The bathroom has a wow factor with a lovely deep slipper bath and a very spacious rain forest type shower. A nice little enclosed garden allows you to dry off the dogs before taking them in. Amble is a fab little place with lots to see and do, good food restaurants, pubs, take aways, ice cream parlour, fish and chips, retail pods to name a few and all on the door step. Take a very short car ride to Circa and have a cream tea! A great week, many thanks for allowing us to stay with our fur boys.

Lovely place in an excellent spot for the harbour and beach, very dog friendly, great log burner to keep you warm on very cold days.. This place has a beautiful bathroom, a big plus for the property, a great slipper style bath and forest type shower, extra large cubicle space. A small yard which allows you to dry off the dogs after the beach, this was a very big plus for us personally. To sum up - a very well equipped holiday cottage with all the amenities you could need whilst away.

This is the first cottage we have been to that fully caters for dogs with no restrictions.. It was extremely well equipped .It had something for every one, especially a range of books suitable for our 4 year old granddaughter . It was well placed for watching the activity on the harbour, especially with the binoculars and telescope provided. It was well placed for the town centre shops and hostelries. and to visit all the local places of interest. Would go back without a doubt.
