The cottage sleeps eight people in four bedrooms which are a ground floor super king-size (zip/link), a second floor super-king-size, a second-floor 4' double and a third-floor super-king-size. There are also two bathrooms, one on the ground floor and one on the second floor, along with a ground-floor kitchen, a first-floor kitchen, a first-floor utility with a basin and WC and a first-floor sitting room. Outside there is off-road parking for two cars and a rear lawned garden with a patio and furniture. The Old Newsagent's is perfectly positioned for friends and families wishing to visit Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the Northumberland countryside. Note: This property only accepts bookings from Friday to Friday or Friday to Monday.

Alnwick is an attractive and historic market town in Northumberland and is known for the dominating Alnwick Castle, the home of the Duke of Northumberland. The Castle Gardens opened to the public in 2002 and are home to Europe's largest cascading water feature, a magnificent treehouse, a delightsome rose garden and a beautiful, walled ornamental garden. The castle is also famous as the setting for Hogwarts School featured in the Harry Potter films!
