We had a lovely week in this very comfortable Bungalow.. ...would definitely go back..hopefully next year.

This was our first venture out post lockdown.. Felt extremely safe in the village environment. Enjoyed the walks in and around Embsay and even had three meals in the local pubs which is something we haven't done in the city yet. Thank you for a lovely break. The bungalow was excellent and the owners who live next door were friendly and unobtrusive. Will certainly try to return sometime next year.

The house was warm and cosy and had all we needed.. The owners were very kind, helpful and unobtrusive. The house was decorated for Christmas in a very pleasant understated way and we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely compact bungalow on the outskirts of skipton.. Milk and bread in the fridge on arrival, every kind of utensil and equipment in the kitchen to prepare meals, owners just next door if any problems crop up (they didn’t). Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to spend some time pottering around in the Yorkshire dales or doing some strenuous walking. Would certainly return

A well appointed bungalow in a lovely part of the country.. Every amenity was available in the bungalow including toilet paper and washing up necessities. You were good to go straight away. We did not meet the owners as they themselves were away on holiday but the place was immaculate. Lots to see and do around the Skipton area but the Embsay location was very peaceful and quiet. I would recommend this bungalow to all.

A cosy and comfortable cottage in quiet surroundings.. The only issues were that the TV is very small and the wifi set up is a bit strange but it worked well most of the time. Parking was easy in the large paved area in front of the cottage.

Your presentation of this cottage contains the following statement: "The spacious rear garden of this Embsay cottage is ideal for dining alfresco.. .." Anyone considering a holiday in this cottage should be aware that the owners (who live next door) have direct access to its rear garden via gates in their boundary fence. Part of the cottage garden is used by them as a vegetable plot, which they enter to cultivate and water (we were staying in summer) without notice. This means that anyone wanting to use the cottage garden for "dining alfresco" or anything else should be aware that the owners are liable to appear in the garden at any time. We had this experience a couple of times, including one morning for several hours. Some people will not mind this, while others may feel that they do not have the full run of a facility (the cottage garden) that appears to form part of the advertised offer. The owner's use of the cottage water supply (via an outside tap) to water his plants can also mean there is not enough water pressure inside the cottage for showers etc. The cottage itself is excellent, clean and good value for money.

Had a very pleasant week in this cottage. Very well situated for the Yorkshire Dales and within easy reach of Skipton with its many restaurants and excellent markets. Cottage was warm, with all facilities, and comfortable, however, at six foot three, I could have done with a larger lounge chair and bed. These would not be a problem for most people however.

The cottage was very well equipped and thoughtfully laid out. We were travelling with my sister who has limited mobility and the bath room with shower accommodated her needs very well. The cottage has a warm and welcoming feel and is a great place to relax. Cliff and Rosamund are great hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Embsay is lovely little village with two pubs- make sure you to the one at the top of the hill- and not far from Skipton. We'd go back tomorrow and next time we're in the UK we will certainly stay again.

Wynnville had plenty of storage and we felt at home straight away. This is a good base if you are exploring the Dales and local towns / attractions. The food in both pubs in the village was good, although the choice for vegetarians was limited. Booking on a Friday night is recommended!

This was not our first visit to the property and we hope to visit again in the future. There is nothing to not like, the standard of the property and garden is excellent and the location perfect. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. A perfect holiday for us, even if the weather is not too good it doesn't spoil our time there.

My husband and I often go away around November time and have stayed in several cottages in this area for a number of years. We chose this property for location and the fact it had wifi, according to the advertising. When we arrived the bungalow was clean in most areas, when the owners arrived they didn't show us how to work appliances etc. which in the past owners have gone out of their way to do so, and as for the wifi we could only receive this if we were stood in the garage in the corner, so feel that this should not be advertised with wifi if this is the only place in the property you can receive it, it's misleading. Also we found if you are tall and have long legs the suite is not very comfortable and the television is a postage stamp in the corner. These two points are not particularly a deal breaker if you are there in summer because most of your time you're not in and tv is not watched, but in winter you're not able to sit outside or go for walks after tea. I think in future we will be trying somewhere else, unless the facilities are improved.

Nice cottage well positioned for Skipton and dales. Well heated necessary for time of year of our visit. we selected primarily however for availability of wifi. as well as location. We required internet access for TV players etc and for house hunting. wifi was totally inadequate. Only available in one corner of living room and corner of cold garage and extremely slow then. Our mobile reception was also non existent. Could not recommend to anyone wanting wifi, Should not be advertised as having wifi unless dramatically improved

The setting was perfect - in the country but near the lovely market town of Skipton, which had all you would need. Also the surrounding scenery was spectacular. We have lived in the area so it was lovely to be back. The owners, living next door, were grand people - nice and friendly. The bungalow was very clean, well-equipped and comfortable. Just one thing - not a big problem but if no-one mentions it, the owners will never know - the bed was a bit lumpy! The only other thing was the cleaners were too prompt - we said it was OK, but I can imagine some people might not like it. Apart from that it was brilliant.

Good location for walking sightseeing in the dales and moors and easy access to shops in Skipton. Cottage was very clean, with modern décor, equipped with modern appliances, tidy, quiet and comfortable. The welcome pack of tea, coffee, butter, bread, milk and yummy shortbread was a nice touch. The large fridge freezer was much appreciated as it minimised supermarket visits. I would use the cottage again for future visits to the area.
