The location of this cottage is wonderful.. A few minutes walk takes you to a spot with glorious views in all directions. It was lovely and peaceful with only the odd car passing and the occasional train at the station across the road. The village with shop, pub etc is about a mile away, so walkable, certainly cyclable. We used a car to get further afield, but the train service on the doorstep means it would be relatively easy to organise a holiday without a car. There are not many places you can go these days which combine a quiet rural location and decent public transport!

Perfect for business or pleasure.. Spent the weekend there with my family and the rest of the week on my own for work. Fantastic area, lots to see and do and a quiet well equipped cottage where you can feel safe on your own.

The cottage was spacious and warm.. The beds and chairs were comfortable. Once we worked out not to run the water when someone was having a shower, everone was happy. We had two cars and at the time we went (November) there was plenty of room to park, although it was away from the cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

The picture of the back of the house is wrong, the dogs are not allowed on the grass that you can see in the photo, we didn't like that when we arrived and opened the back door the house joined on, the patio was full of dog dirt that looked like it had been there all week and didn't get cleaned up till Monday night.. We have a dog of our own and no way would we allow this to happen. There was no way we could sit out on our patio seeing that every day. We think this could be resolved by putting up a fence that is covered in so you can't see into next door. Although the house was clean on the surface it could do with a deep clean. The cottage was well stocked with appliances and it served as a base. The 2 small chairs were well worn and very uncomfortable to sit on. We are aware that next doors patio is not the owners fault of the cottage we rented but needs to be looked at before Summer as it would only attract flies not good.

The cottage was lovely and we had a very nice time but the garden was not quite as expected the photo appeared to include the grass at the side, which is why we chose it for our dog, also the description said off road parking, but it would have been nice to know that meant not directly outside the cottage! !

Easy to find a suitable property in the area we wanted.. Communication spot on and everything was easy to manage. A lot of tourist information / guides was left out as well as some DVDs to amuse the children. Many thanks.

Lovely, warm cottage, with a little garden area which was perfect for our dog.. The owner left a fantastic welcome pack of wine, tea, coffee, milk and cleaning products, which was particularly helpful as the cottage is quite remote.

The communication from the owners was perfect. Upon arrival at the cottage we were pleasantly surprised by the size and cleanliness of the cottage, it has everything you need without all the clutter that some have. The beds have to be some of the comfiest I've slept in. Overall it is great base for exploring both Lancashire and Yorkshire by foot, car, bike or even train which is a minute walk away.

The cottage was SO clean, it was a privilege to stay. Although the weather was very wet, along with the rest of the country, the area was very beautiful with lots to see in all the local towns and villages.

The cottage was clean and tidy, the attention to detail was very good with items provided for all weathers such as maps, games, magazines, books and DVD's. The beds were comfortable and the rear patio area is fenced off which is good if you have a dog. The cottage is well placed to the 3 peaks and sits between Kendal and Skipton.
