Lovely cottage in a quiet village only a few miles from Harrogate, Skipton, Knaresborough and lots of other places. Superbly located to explore. The cottage itself is nicely furnished and sleeps a couple in a good size double bedroom, and a single in a small but cosy room.
The kitchen is well-equipped with enough cutlery etc for four people, and there is a very nice wood burning stove in the living room - welcoming on a wet or cold day! The porch is ideal for taking off shoes or wellies before going inside, and hanging up coats or umbrellas.
One well-behaved dog is welcome, although not upstairs, and there are plenty of walks to keep everyone fit, including climbing the rather steep stairs!
Be aware that there is no back garden, and while the small front garden has seating, it's not really suitable for a barbecue. Also note that the local shop in the village closed recently, so make sure you pick up some essentials before arriving. The local watering-hole - The Wellington Inn - does excellent food in the restaurant or bar, and welcomes dogs too.
All in all I would thoroughly recommend this holiday let to anyone who wants a comfortable base to explore the fantastic countryside.
