Town Head Cottage is a lovely two-bedroom property welcoming families, friends and couples for a wonderful break in this ever popular area.
The cosy and romantic cottage has been lovingly restored whilst keeping its charm and character and is just a short walk to the famous village centre, with its old curiosity shops, excellent local pubs, good eating establishments and of course, the old cobbled square where the monthly farmers market selling the finest fresh produce and the annual Dickensian weekends can be found.
Add this to the annual Grassington Festival and the close proximity of many of the famous Dales attractions, Town Head Cottage offers you a fantastic break in a superb location.
Make yourself at home in the charming sitting room, with its exposed stone work, wooden beams, as well as a lovely window seat.
Put your feet up in front of the wood burning stove, give Alexa a shout for your favourite tunes or simply switch on the impressive Smart TV that is accompanied with full Sky Sports and Movie channels, perfect to relax and unwind your way.
Move into the country style kitchen/diner where you can rustle up a home cooked meal with the electric oven and hob, with more rustic stone work as a backdrop and discover a vast selection of appliances including a Tassimo coffee machine.
When you can just about tear yourself away from this delightful dwelling, be sure to grab your waking boots as the area is filled with an abundance of unspoilt landscapes just waiting to be explored.
20 meters from the front door you can jump on the Dales Way and head North bringing you to the charming village of Kettlewell and the peak Great Whernside.
The area is a walkers paradise, with beautiful walks along the river Wharfe to Linton Falls and onto the beautiful Burnsall, as well as more challenging walks up on the fells. For fun for the whole family head to Kilnsey Park for a little fishing or swing through the woodland at Treetop Nets.
An outstanding all round holiday cottage, not to be missed!
About the location
GRASSINGTON
Skipton 9 miles; Ilkley 12 miles.
Grassington is one of the most charming villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Traditional stone cottages and shops are clustered around the cobbled market place, offering exceptional shopping facilities for a village of this size, with a monthly farmer’s market offering a mouthwatering range of organic and homemade local produce. Situated on the River Wharfe, with the extensive Grass Woods to the north of the village, this is a superb walking area. Down dale is Bolton Abbey with the Abbey ruins, the Priory and the famous “Strid Walk”. A little further is the elegant town of Ilkley, overlooked by the famous Ilkley Moor. Up dale are Kettlewell and Buckden boasting spectacularly beautiful limestone scenery. With many other beauty spots scattered throughout Wharfedale, Grassington provides a great base for exploring the local area and all that the Dales have to offer, with Brontë Country and York also being within easy motoring distance.
