Spent the first weekend of lifted restrictions here. It’s a quaint, quirky, cosy cottage. Really comfortable. Everything you could need to cook a meal or just a snack. Some board games and dvd are available if wanted. Plenty of storage and there is a fridge with a decent sized freezer compartment. Outdoor area for sitting and secure field for walking my fur baby. The cottage is a 200 year old Hay shed which is attached to owners property but although they are very friendly and available if needed they are not looking over your shoulder.
It is renovated with a lot of reclaimed items which makes it even more charming.
About 3 miles from Whitby and robin hoods bay. Very quiet and peaceful. It is on a main road but we didn’t notice much traffic until Monday morning and that wasn’t a lot. Even the cockerels don’t make a noise until about 8.30 ish
Really enjoyed our stay and will go again when/if there is any availability or even taking a last minute cancellation.
Owners are planning more improvements, but u personally think it’s perfect as it is

Lovely quirky accommodation, nice views and friendly hosts. Great location for trips into Whitby or to Robin Hoods Bay - close to the coastal cycle path too
All in all a lovely short break

The owners were very welcoming and are looking to improve, they have only recently taken over the business, so we wish them every success in their venture. The location is next to the road which could bother some people but didn't bother us at all. The views were lovely looking out to sea. The accommodation was very nice, warm and quirky.
