Very dog friendly too, even dog treats in the welcome pack and a great dog walk straight out of the door. Laura the owner was so kind, helpful and friendly and a great communicator. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed exploring the North Yorkshire Moors and felt like we drove most of the roads. With us both being disabled ladies of certain age we struggled with the stairs. We were made welcome and just a short walk into town. The parking was an issue but that was with my mobility.

Quiet location and near shops etc. Very friendly welcome from the owner, giving an explanation of how things worked. Also received a nice welcome pack, including treats for the dog. The property was very comfortable, with all you would need from an holiday home. There were a few minor issues, firstly, the draws in the single bedroom were very dusty. Used the extremely noisy vacuum cleaner to resolve. The string holding the blinds in the conservatory kept disintegrating. The owner did state it was to be fixed. We still enjoyed the holiday, as the location enabled us to visit the places we wanted without having to travel too far. For walkers or cyclists there are plenty of walks cycle routes close by. Also, it was nice to wake up on a morning and watch the wildlife in the garden, while having breakfast.

Nestled in the heart of the attractive town of Guisborough is this appealing mid-terrace cottage, Laurel Cottage.
Boasting easy access to the North York Moors National Park and North Yorkshire's beautiful coastline, this is a superb abode for a family of six wanting to make the most of this lovely part of Yorkshire.
Outside the property you will find handy permit parking available, along with quaint surroundings of the town.
Head inside to find a welcoming sitting room, boasting a warm woodburning stove to make you feel at home, alongside a TV and ample plush seating for you and your loved ones to relax on.
Progress through to the well-presented kitchen, where you can find a selection of appliances available to rustle up a fabulous meal, to be enjoyed as a quick meal-to-go at the adjoining breakfast bar or as a delicious dinner with the family in the dining room; the room showcases skylights that fill the space with natural light, making for a brilliant socialising spot.
The ground floor additionally hosts a bright, tiled bathroom with a b-shaped bath for you to soak up in after a day packed with fun.

Two pubs can be found very close to the property, Badger's Bar and The Monk, along with a nearby supermarket, so there's no need to travel far for your necessities.
Guisborough is also home to an array of great attractions for all ages, including the historic Guisborough Museum, along with the stunning Fishpond Fields and Horse Parks Wood.
Make your way to Saltburn-by-the-Sea for a day by the coast, venture to the pier for a spot of angling, before basking in the sun on the beach; the town is additionally home to beautiful nature reserves, Salburn Gill and Hunt Cliff, as well as the Black Ash Path for those avid walkers.
Continue along the coast to Staithes where you will find the fascinating Captain Cook & Staithes Centre and the delightful Dotty's Vintage Tearoom where you can enjoy a sweet treat before embarking on a walk or cycle along the Cleveland Way.

Guisborough is an attractive market town set in rural surroundings on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Steeped in history, Guisborough is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the town's most notable feature is the beautiful ruined abbey, Gisborough Priory; standing in full glory, to its original height of 97 feet, the dramatic gothic east gable towers high over the market town and has become a well-known icon of the town. This bustling small town has twice-weekly market days, a good selection of eateries, excellent pubs and many independent shops. Around Guisborough sits the spectacular woodland of Guisborough Forest. Guisborough Forest & Walkway is situated in Pinchinthorpe on the outskirts of Guisborough at the northern end of the A173. It extends for 2.5 miles along part of the route followed by the old Guisborough Branch Railway line, heading west towards Nunthorpe, and east to Guisborough Forest, which is managed by Forest Enterprise. It is a gateway site to the North York Moors National Park and offers splendid views of Roseberry Topping to the south. Points of local interest include Highcliff Nab and Hanging Stone. Captain Cook 92s Monument is also within walking distance. The Cleveland Way and the Tees Link walks pass through Guisborough Forest, and are just two of the many walking routes easily accessible to visitors. This super country park has cycle trails, walking routes, bridleways, a trim trail and an easier sculpture trail. The park includes the Guisborough Walkway which runs along the former trackbed of the Middlesbrough to Whitby railway line. This includes a wetland area with boardwalks, woodlands and grasslands. You can also climb Highcliff Nab for fabulous views of Teeside and the coast. The park is also very popular with mountain bikers with a number of super trails to explore. There is an excellent visitor centre with full details of all the trails in the park. The long distant trail of the Cleveland Way passes close by, whilst nearby Roseberry Topping is well worth the climb to take in the spectacular views. An easy thirty minute drive brings you to the Heritage Coastline, with historic villages and resorts, including Staithes, Saltburn and Whitby to enjoy.
