Great cottage, everything in the cottage excellent and the welcome pack unexpected.. All precautions for covid in place. Family very welcoming and helpful and location exactly what was needed for an escape from pressure of the last few months. Will definitely be returning soon. Alpacas, hens and dogs also helped to make the holiday special.

the quality of the accommodation is superb. The high ceilings make for a very spacious feel. There is everything within the cottage that you could possibly want and was beautifully clean. The owners (and their pets) are very friendly and welcoming. We were even invited to watch the annual alapaca shearing (including scooping up the incredibly soft fleece into bags). Thank you for making us feel so welcome and I am sure we will be back.

The Calf House was perfect for us. Located on an alpaca farm, this cottage is a great location for exploring North Yorkshire and Thirsk, home of James Herriott. The owners are friendly, and the cottage was quiet, comfortable, and had everything we needed. There is even a friendly dog and cat for animal lovers. We will come back!

The quiet farm location, with good connections to the surrounding locations. Lovely clean accommodation with nice touches on arrival like milk in the fridge and biscuits to enjoy.
