Exposed beams and the pale stone of the Dales show the passage of time at this cute-as-a-button period cottage nestled in the beautiful market town of Masham. Placed less than five minutes from its centre, you can be pottering around the gift shops and art galleries in no time. And you’ll be well fed and watered with bustling restaurants, fish’n’chips, and teashops aplenty. Home to two illustrious breweries, you’re in the right place for real ales, too, should a swift pint after bracing walks on the Dales take your fancy. Back home, there’s a roaring open fire waiting for you to hunker down beside on winter nights with a good book. And on balmy evenings, head on out to the enclosed, west-facing garden. There's plenty of space for little ones and furry friends alike to run off some steam as you fire up the barbecue. And while this may be cottage living, there’s nothing dinky about the downstairs of this home. The owners have cleverly opened up the space to create a wonderful, sociable dining and kitchen area that makes mealtimes a joy.
