Just one mile out of town is the wonderful 17th century National Trust East Riddlesden Hall, and just four miles away is the village of Haworth, made famous as the home to the Bronte sisters. The village offers cobbled streets, lovely shops and the Bronte Parsonage Museum. Close by is the market town of Skipton and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, plus within driving distance are the city of York and delightful Harrogate.
