The cottage is exactly as described. It is extremely clean and tidy on arrival. The kitchen is well stocked - crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. To be honest more than you'd need but covers all bases. Modern equipment throughout including a new smart TV. The owner is very friendly and readily available should the need arise (it didn’t for us). Off road car parking is easy to access and the road is not busy making it easy to get out. Location is just great. Walking distance to three pubs, a Tesco Express at the end of the road (Lidl on the edge of the village) and of course the beach is only about a mile away. Can't recommend highly enough.

The cottage was lovely and cosy.. It was in a lovely location in a pretty village with all the local amenities. You can walk to the beach and walk on the coastal paths. We would recommend this cottage to anyone and in fact we have already recommended this cottage to some friends. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

We had a very comfortable stay in this lovely cottage.. It was very clean, well equipped and well maintained. Set in a very quiet area within easy walking distance to the beach and local amenities. The owner was easily contactable by phone and was very friendly and welcoming. We felt very Covid safe due to the cleanliness of the cottage and the sanitizing products provided. A very restful place to enjoy a break.

There was nothing fundamentally wrong with the cottage, it was comfortable, clean and well appointed.. A dishwasher would have been nice but you can't have everything. Our problem has been, all Summer, with Skyes over obtaining a refund from a previous holiday. We had a terrible experience with this and were stalled for many weeks until we got a partial refund and then the balance weeks later.

Taking a holiday during an international pandemic was always going to be a little bit different but although lots of the home comforts had to be removed from the cottage, it was still beautiful and felt really safe and clean.. We had everything we needed And there are plenty of shops nearby. The Norfolk beaches were gently buzzing with plenty of space to social distance and we struck gold with the weather. You have to be eating fairly early because lots of places are shutting up shop by 8 pm but we were delighted that so many pubs had opened their gardens and made such an effort to provide food in a safe way. It was just the break we needed after such a long time at home.

Unfortunately we left after 5 days due to not feeling 100% probably bad meal in Sheringham , house was not to our expectations as being 74 and73 yrs the staircase was really not suitable for an older person as it was steep to go up and come down as toilet was upstairs .. Had too use car everyday and travel to the coastal resorts walking to the Heacham beach was just to far for us even we walk a lot at home . Suggest that when advertising holiday homes you should state that some houses may not be suitable for certain age groups . Will be looking again once this Coronavirus has cleared .

October 2015
We stayed at Kath's Cottage in June this year, our second visit having stayed in 2014. A really impressive accommodation with wonderful stone floors and an excellent fully fitted kitchen. Upstairs there is a lovely bedroom that looks out onto the High Street and the bathroom, though small is beautifully finished with a great shower. No room for a bath but that omission takes nothing away from the quality surroundings. Stairs are narrow and steep but that is only to be expected in a cottage of it's age but it didn't bother us and we are a couple in our 60's. Just to add that next door, Cassie's Cottage is equally as impressive and has a second bedroom. We stayed here from the end of August into September. In my personal opinion, nobody could fault anything in either of these two cottages, they are comfort personified.

Lovely cottage in a great location in Heacham with its own parking place, a real bonus in this part of the world. It is well equipped and well presented and an ideal base for visiting North Norfolk. There is also another cottage next door which sleeps four people, so could be rented at the same time for a larger party. The front courtyard garden is a real sun trap, lovely to relax in this peaceful area.

What a wonderful Cottage for a winter break. The cottage has everything you would need and has been really tastefully furnished. We met the owner during one of her courtesy visits and what a nice person. We were extremely comfortable and warm. The local amenities could not be faulted, everything is so close to hand. It was nice to arrive and find a number of items already in place, milk, sugar, tea, coffee and fruit a really nice touch and most welcome after a 2.5 hour journey. There was nothing we didn't like, even the sun shone for us over the week.

July 2013
A charming, beautifully clean and well-appointed one-bedroom cottage in a quiet part of Heacham village. Hardly any road noise at all, even though technically on the High Street, but still close to Post Office, newsagent and other local shops. Very convenient to have a newly opened Tesco Express 5 minutes walk away at the end of the road, so no need to take any food with you. The cottage was lovely and cool in the recent hot weather, with thick walls and stone tile flooring throughout the ground floor. The front door opens into a good sized sitting room, with a comfortable leather sofa and armchair and a big flat-screen TV, along with DVD player and a selection of films and books too. Lovely little kitchen, nice fitted wooden units with granite tops and plenty of storage, deep sink and an electric cooker, kettle and toaster. Through the kitchen to a utility area with the boiler, big cupboard, big fridge/freezer and microwave. Up a curving staircase to a double bedroom with two good sized wardrobes, set of drawers and a smaller TV. Small landing area (ideal for storing cases etc) and a well appointed bathroom, toilet, sink and shower. What we really appreciated about this property is that the owner ensures that everything is supplied - condiments, bin bags, kitchen/toilet rolls, range of olive oils, tea and coffee, washing up liquid, soaps, hand creams - you name it we didn't need to take it or buy it! In addition there was a nice welcome bowl with fresh fruit, chocolate biscuits and a big carton of milk. A perfect place to chill out in the little garden, not overlooked at all, or as a base to explore the surrounding area (and there's plenty to see and do). Off-road parking in front of the garden fence too, which is a bonus in a busy village. We had a lovely chill-out week here and would be more than happy to come back or recommend it to anyone else - 10/10 !

We were very impressed by the high standard of soft furnishings and the extra attention to detail that the owner had given. This was a gem of a cottage! This delightful, contemporary cottage is a real gem. Tucked off the High Street in Heacham it is handy for all the local shops and pubs as well as being a perfect base for bird watching sites in the area. The owners have gone the extra mile in providing luxurious soft furnishings and leaving the cupboards stocked with basic essentials from washing powder to fresh milk and fruit. There were even Molton Brown hand creams and shower gels! Heacham may not be picturesque but it has some fine buildings, especially round the church and it is a great base for the area.

A very warm and friendly owner which very much reflected in her cosy comfy cottage. We spent Christmas there and wanted for nothing. So much to see and do in the area. An abundance of real ale pubs and loved the local mussels. The wild life flying in and out was a spectacular sight. Very much look forward to returning.

This was the first time we had rented a cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kath's Cottage. We had a very comfortable bed which was most important and everything in the cottage was spotlessly clean. The landlady was very pleasant and made us feel most welcome.

The cottage was wonderful. Very clean and very cosy. Although it was very peaceful where the cottage is located, it is also close to several shops. A superb cottage to stay at in order to relax and unwind. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.

The cottage was a fantastic little hideaway in a peaceful, friendly village location. The owner had left us milk and flowers and the standard of the property was superb. I think it must have been very recently completely refurbished and it was a beautifully presented cottage. We couldn't have wished for better and would recommend it highly to others.
