A recently renovated quaint little cottage based in a hamlet of old fishermen's cottages in Newport, Hemsby. These quirky homes are now rare to come by, built for local people making a living from the sea from as far back as 1750, and are now make up a designated conservation area. Hemsby and Newport together form a lively village seaside resort and an ideal touring base for Great Yarmouth, the Norfolk Broads and surrounding area. Hemsby itself is divided into two main areas: the village and the beach. The village has a number of shops, including a convenience store, a local butcher, hairdressers and several takeaways.
