Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
We hope you’ve got a sweet tooth because this pastel pink home is all sugar, spice and everything nice. The host has created an utterly unique aesthetic with a candy-coloured interpretation of classical Art Deco style – even the bathroom is decked out in blush pink and buttercup yellow tiles. But despite the colour scheme, there’s nothing saccharine about this home. Modern furniture and clean architectural lines avoid frilliness or fuss, and the light spilling through the huge windows makes the flat feel bright and breezy. It comes as no surprise that this home is located in oh so trendy Hackney, just a five-minute walk from the overground station and within seconds of cute cafes, flower shops, and vintage boutiques. In under thirty minutes by public transport you can shop along Oxford Street and dine in Shoreditch, though with countless bars and neighbourhood restaurants just outside your door, you’ll have everything you need around your Hackney home. We’re not sugar-coating it when we say this home is a treat.

Home truths
There’s a steep flight of stairs leading up to the home, so this home is less suitable for those with reduced mobility or lots of luggage
The home doesn’t have a TV
This home is in a residential area, so noise levels need to be kept to a minimum after 10 pm
There’s a parking space available though we recommend getting around London by public transport instead of by car

About Hackney
Hackney – the name of this neighbourhood is now more likely to evoke the image of a hipster on a bicycle with a sourdough loaf stuffed in their satchel rather than anything else. Filled with great independent restaurants, cafes and pubs, this part of town is a delight to explore. The green expanses of London Fields and Victoria Park are pretty unbeatable on a summer's day and be sure to check out Broadway Market and Victoria Park Village too, where you'll wander through leafy streets of period houses, and rub shoulders with London's hip young arts and media types.

Serving up a broad variety of hearty Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine, Pivaz manages to deliver an authentic taste while maintaining a progressive and contemporary feel.
Dine at My Neighbours the Dumplings
Highly recommended by your host, this family-run dumpling restaurant follows the dim sum tradition of small plates cooked to perfection.
Catch a flick at the Castle Cinema
This quirky little local gem is a one of the area’s best kept secrets. The perfect balance of quality sound & vision with cosy arm-chair seating and décor make the Castle a perfect indie picturehouse.
Drop in at Black Cat Café for a vegan bite
An ideal unfussy café that's just next door, the menu at this ethical and vegan café might be simple but they're a top spot for budget plant-based food that's healthy too.
Catch a gig at Oslo Hackney
Never mind the band – the food, drink and sound at this Hackney music venue show why London's centre-of-gig gravity is moving to the east.
Soak up the sun at Millfields Park
Made up of three large open spaces around Lea Bridge and Chatsworth Road, it's a great spot to soak up the sun with the family or to join the Lea Valley walk.
Get your caffeine fix at Millfields Coffee
With its generously sized kitchen and in-house chef, Millfields is as much about casual all day dining as it is about coffee. We recommended their Turkish eggs.
Soak up the sun at Hackney Downs
One of Hackney's major green spaces, it has been open to the public since 1884. It's a perfect spot to soak up the sun with the family.
Explore Spitalfields Market
Enjoy a vibrant and diverse shopping experience at the lively Spitalfields Market. Discover unique souvenirs and tantalizing food options, and enjoy the captivating atmosphere.
