Your dogs are welcome to join you, but tall guests must take care not to bump their heads on the historic beams and low ceilings. While scenic walks are aplenty, a car is necessary to get around. We recommend the seven-mile drive to Stamford for trips to Burghley Hall and the International Horse Trials.
