It has one of the oldest medieval castles, a great park with an indoor-outdoor swimming pool and canoe hire on the river. The area is also known for its many National Trust Properties such as Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens and Scotney Castle or the historic estates of Penshurst and Chartwell. There are numerous award winning vineyards and wineries close by and for railway enthusiasts the Spa Valley Railway operates a regular service of their steam and heritage diesel trains.

Tonbridge is also ideally located for access to Central London with frequent trains taking only 35 minutes. The north Kent coast is easily accessible as is the coastline of East Sussex.

Reviews

We loved our stay at Little Bourne, the cottage is so homely and has everything you need. Karen and Simon are brilliant hosts, very welcoming and helpful. The cottage is super quiet and has beautiful walks around. We used it as a base to explore the countryside, a short drive to Hever Castle, Chartwell House and Emmetts Gardens. There is so much to do in the area, we will visit again soon.

Mrs S,

A very comfortable and well-equipped property, situated in the owner's garden. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

Mrs S,

Thank you Karen. We enjoyed our stay and felt very comfortable in your lovely cottage. We saw a lot of the great county of Kent. Best wishes

Past Customer,

Beautiful property! Super comfy beds. 2 toilets& sink. Common shower. Fully equipped kitchen. A lot of seating place in the living place. Very quite but also very close to main road. Supernice host with a lot of knowledge about the area. Great place to stay and very near some national trust properties, Hever Castle,... we really recommend this place.

Previous Customer,

Excellent place to stay. Only thing would be useful is a dryer or clothing line outside, otherwise very comfortable, great location and amazing hosts. We loved our stay!
