Nestled along a country lane a three-minute walk from Kingsdown Beach, this gorgeous family home is all about gazing seaward and relaxing in style. The interiors were carefully crafted by designer Michelle Kelly, who has expertly paired Victoriana-inspired florals with punchy colour combinations and finished off the look with hand-picked vintage furniture and accessories. Mornings here begin with breakfast in the sunroom, tucking into produce from the farm shop in Walmer, while typical Sundays involve bracing dips in the sea and giant roast dinners around the ten-seater dining table. A garden calls for barbecues and picnics when the weather’s right and the bedrooms’ balconies offer quiet moments to watch the tide come in over the horizon. If exploring is on the agenda, Dover is a fifteen-minute drive south and trendy Deal takes no more than ten, due north – you could walk it in just over an hour if you fancy stretching your legs.
