This Grade II-listed cottage is chock-full of cosy character and contemporary comforts. Inside, you'll find a design that marries traditional charm with stylish modernity – we're talking knotted timber beams, vivid Farrow & Ball colours and underfloor heating keeping frosty toes at bay. There's no better spot for snuggling than in front of the wood-burner – all you need is a cup of tea and a good book to keep you company. Elsewhere, you can put a vinyl on the record player, gather for a board game around the table, or, if you're a keen cook, you can rustle up a delicious meal in the Scandi-style kitchen – it's well-stocked with all the culinary gear you'll need. During the summer, take your unwinding alfresco and retreat to the quaint courtyard garden. It's the ideal spot to sip Pimm's underneath the fringed parasol and smell the pretty pink flowers. There's also a studio out here – perfect for remote workers or those wanting a smidge more privacy. Nested on a quiet street right in Sandwich town centre, you'll be well-placed to explore. With its timbered houses and narrow lanes, it's one of the best-preserved medieval towns in the country, so don your comfiest shoes and go for a wander – trails along the River Stour lead towards first-class golf courses, nature preserves and the Kent coast, about thirty minutes on foot. And, when you're feeling peckish, independent cafes, cosy pubs and a slew of eateries are sure to whet your appetite.
