This lovely cottage has wonderful open views across to the Arreton and Mersley Downs in the distance. This is a fantastic area for walking and cycling, with footpaths leading directly from the cottage to nearby villages and paths which join the beautiful Bembridge Trail. A cycle path links Sandown with the market town of Newport and travels through the pretty villages of Newchurch and Godshill. The lovely sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within a 10 minute drive and Ventnor beach is within a 20 minute drive. Among many nearby places worth visiting are Harvey Browns farm shop, café and restaurant, Amazon World Zoo Park, The Garlic Farm, The Roman Villa, Carisbrooke Castle and the steam railway which you can catch at Havenstreet. Osborne House, the island home of Queen Victoria, is within a short drive away. On entering this pretty Grade II listed holiday cottage, which was converted in 2010 from a milking parlour, you will find yourself in the light and attractive open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a lovely and airy space with a vaulted ceiling, attractive beams and floor to ceiling glass tri fold doors which can be folded back to make the garden seem part of the living room. With comfortable seating, TV and DVD player and hi fi system, the bright and welcoming lounge is an ideal space in which to relax in. You will also find a delightful dining area. Moving over to the kitchen you will find it fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, slim line dishwasher and fridge/freezer. A washer/dryer is also provided in a separate cupboard. Exploring this lovely property further you will find two charming bedrooms with lovely rural views and a door in each to provide direct access outside. There s a double bedroom with a king size bed and an en suite bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC. There s also a lovely twin room with an en suite shower room with a built in shower and WC. Stepping outside you will find a lovely fenced and gated garden at the rear of the cottage, with an ornamental cherry tree and an apple tree. There is a raised patio area immediately outside of the living room doors and a gravelled area with garden furniture an ideal place to enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine or to dine in the evening. A BBQ can be provided free of charge on request in advance. There are two parking spaces provided just across the entrance to the courtyard. Access to the farm is via a bridleway and lane. Tarmac mainly, with a concreted central section, which is a little bumpy in places.
