We received a warm welcome from the owners who explained how everything worked.. This included informing us about COVID19 protocols that were currently in place. The cottage was spotlessly clean and we enjoyed a quiet and relaxing week in our comfortable surroundings. The cottage is ideally placed for travel around the island. We highly recommend it to other visitors and hope to return ourselves in future.

We had a most enjoyable holiday in this lovely cottage.. We were met by the owner, Helen, on arrival who was most helpful and friendly. We were very impressed by the standard of furnishings and fittings with a lovely wet room and more than adequate kitchen. Set in a very peaceful setting,it was everything we wanted. We would highly recommend The Stables. Jim & Maureen Regan.

The owner Helen was approachable and made the start of our visit relaxing.. She produced a small ramp immediately for me, as I was aware of a step at the front door. Also Helen produced a sturdy seat to help me in the walk in wheel in shower. These items gve me confidence and was able to just concentrate on the holiday. We looked out at a field of goats and sheep and our little garden was enclosed allowing my little dog some freedom. The whole cottage was very clean and we were asked if any light bulbs we blown or if we needed more of the natural products Helen likes to use, just ask. We will certainly be going again, hopefully next year.

A very comfortable cottage which was well equipped with everything you would need for a great holiday.. The huge bed was nice and comfortable, great for a good night's sleep. The owners, Helen & Paul, were very nice and welcoming and were there if needed, but everything was satisfactory and we did not need to contact them. The views from the garden were absolutely stunning and we could not have wished for better. In the adjoining paddocks there were sheep and Shetland ponies which were lovely to watch while sitting in the garden, which was very dog friendly and our dog also enjoyed her holiday. The cottage was a great base to go exploring and it was fairly easy getting around the island. We would definitely recommend and look forward to returning soon.

Warm, cosy cottage with all facilities provided and a very pleasant owner. Particularly liked the position and the aspect view from the lounge with the double doors to the pretty garden overlooking the paddock, fields and beyond. Nice modern kitchen, superb wet room and very comfortable bed. The cottage is situated in a very pleasant quiet part of the island and you are not far from the coast. Highly recommend this cottage.

We had this cottage for 1 week and loved every minute. We had our dog with us and it was perfect for us all. Great country setting with lovely views over the fields and Downs to the sea. Cottage is well equiped, plenty of space and a super wetroom. Short drive to Tesco and a dogfriendly beach at Sandown. We also had lovely weather as well. Would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone.

We arrived in February - cold, wet and windy - in order to go house hunting and the accommodation was very warm and welcoming. Lovely central heating radiators. The kitchen was well equipped and a bigger television than you get in a caravan. The bath/shower room is outstanding and the shower was very powerful and refreshing. It is set in such a quiet and idyllic setting and it was just like home. Our dogs felt very comfortable and relaxed, plus they enjoyed their morning walks which are right on the doorstep. It is in easy reach by car of all beaches and amenities. The owners made sure we were comfortable and everything was working fine. They are a very nice couple and extremely helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend the Stables to anyone who is looking for a break on the Isle-of-Wight. Absolutely brilliant!!! There is nothing about the accommodation, or anything else for that matter, that we could fault.

February 2013
My wife and I have visited the Island about ten times, all seasons, and the Stables are by far the best accommodation we have ever found. There was plenty of room to move around and plenty of space to put the dog beds without falling over them. The bathroom/shower room was outstanding. As the weather was very wet and cold my wife and I were very thankful there was gas central heating in the accommodation so we were very warm. The view from the lounge and kitchen windows are wonderful. We enjoyed every bit of the accommodation and the owners were so lovely and inviting.
February 2013
The information on the website was good, but the reality was even better - for a rental at the end of the year, this was warm and cosy, well-equipped and very convenient
December 2012
The accommodation is excellent - clean, comfortable and up to date. Of special note is the wet room. Also the outside space is most attractive, having a lovely outlook and everything you need to enjoy nice weather. Our hosts were helpful and friendly. We had a few problems connecting our Ipad to the net. They went to great lengths to get it sorted. There are footpaths nearby for dog walking. There are shopping facilities within a few miles and plenty of places to visit. If we return, and we may, we will send more time enjoying the view and less sightseeing.
Mr Wood

The Stables is a great cottage on the Isle of Wight. It is just outside Ryde, with lots of peace and quiet. You have to drive five to ten minutes to find a pub, or a Tesco's, but the atmosphere at The Stables is great. The owners are very friendly, as are the horses, donkeys, sheep and dogs. I will return soon.
Mr Taylor
