Set within the Isle of Wight’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – there are only forty-six such awarded regions across the entire country – this retreat is truly located in the landscape of dreams. Five minutes on foot from the rugged Brook coastal path and its picturesque beach, you’ll love coming home to this cosy, cottage-like apartment after a windswept day by the shores. In a rustic, stone farmhouse, this home has a wonderfully rural character from the offset. With original features of the building standing strong, such as chunky timber ceiling beams, wooden floors, and barn-style doors, we love the traditional feel of the home. The soft furnishings make the living space warm and inviting, with natural light streaming in through skylights. Your host has also made sure that you can keep the whole family entertained – the playground outside has a slide and trampoline for the kids, as well as table tennis (which might end up being an activity for ‘big kids’ too). Light up the barbecue and sit out on the patio for a grill and a glass of wine, before a night of stargazing.

Home truths

The home is one of several in the farmhouse – it's not detached, but more like an apartment (you'll share the garden and playground with other guests)

Furry friends are more than welcome to stay, but well-behaved pets are preferred

Your host can provide a cot, high chair, children's tableware, books and toys, as well as local babysitter recommendations

Free parking is available in the driveway (we recommend bringing a car to explore the area in full)

The home is set on the ground floor only, so you don't have to climb stairs

Your host offers all the barbecue equipment you'll need – such as charcoal, skewers, and so on

As this home allows for self check-in with building staff, you won't meet your host

It’s easy to see why – the Isle of Wight has charm and beauty by the bucket and spades. The beaches here...
