Escape to the country with family or friends at these two traditional half-timbered homes. Across a main house and a cottage, there's plenty of space for groups to spread out – but we recommend heading straight for the hot tub in the sunken garden. From the alfresco dining table, you can admire quaint country views, and the garden games, including croquet and badminton, are bound to entertain younger guests. The interiors of both homes are in quintessential country style – avid cooks will enjoy using the Aga, and the four-poster bed makes for a memorable sleep. Ideally located near Ludlow and Leominster, there's plenty to see a short drive away – but a local bike ride through the Shropshire hills is equally enjoyable.

*Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. The house and cottage each have their own separate driveways.
*The first bedroom in the cottage can be arranged as a super-king or a twin on request. If you'd like to use the day bed in this room, please request it in advance.
*Guests are welcome to play tennis one mile away at the host's home.
*This home includes the use of six bicycles and a tandem.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot, a high chair, and a stair gate for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground-floor bedroom and bathroom here.
