For bookworms, the literary town of Hay on Wye with its world famous annual festival is easily accessible too. You can find many National Trust properties and gardens open seasonally within a 20 minute drive, including Berrington Hall, Brockhampton Estate, and Croft castle. A little further afield, walkers can discover the Brecon Beacons, the Black Mountains, and the stunning Elan Valley with its visitors centre. Within a one minute drive, less than 0.5 miles there is The Grove, which houses a ten pin bowling alley, adventure golf, driving range and 2 x 9 hole golf courses and a restaurant. Set within the owner's grounds and surrounded by rich pastures and meadows, you ll start to unwind as you travel up the driveway. The property is tucked to the side of the owner's home, offering a private entrance and friendly welcome from your hosts. Step inside the small porch where there is a place and remove your boots after a day exploring. The porch opens onto the lounge, a spacious though cosy space that has been beautifully finished with local artwork and electric furnishings.
