Hay on Wye boasts more than 20 bookstores, an international Festival of Arts and Literature, a wide range of cafes and restaurants and quirky independent shops. The Globe in Hay runs arts events throughout the year and the magnificent 12th century castle has recently opened its doors to the public after a 10 year restoration project.
