This warm cosy 1 bedroom farm cottage has everything you’ll need to relax. The outdoor sitting area faces North is our only quibble. Walk from here and hear the cries of lapwings and curlews. The owners have thought of everything and are very welcoming. We hope to come again because it’s perfect for a couple and in a wonderful walking area.

Jenny’s cottage was delightful, cosy, clean and comfortable, it had everything one would need including a welcome pack of milk, eggs etc.. The views were stunning and being part of a working farm was an added bonus. There are lots of hill walks on your doorstep and places to visit. A very relaxing holiday. We will return.

I was shocked to see how little the cottage was.. It was quite underwhelming downstairs as it was dark cold and basement like with non of the promised views I read about. TV was VERY small and only a two seater couch to relax on when been out all day walking. The bath was nice n big and relaxing and the bed was very comfy although very soft too. The cleanliness was not up to standard. Lots of hairs dust and spiders around the cottage. And almost all the crockery was dirty. Although a nice cottage it was definitely not worth the price we paid for it as I stay in at least 2-3 cottages per year and have much better quality and standards for the same price.

Beautiful, peaceful and very convenient to commute to Manchester city center as well as many places of interest to visit.. I would highly recommend. Maybe a bit more information as regards to other services the farm offers as in horse riding etc. Most probably we would re- visit.

This is a lovely cottage for 1 or 2 people in a peaceful and beautiful rural location. The cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable, and not far from the village of Diggle. There are some fabulous walks out from the farm, and plenty of good places to eat nearby. The owner was welcoming and friendly, and told us about local events going on during our stay, which was really helpful. We'd definitely go back here.

The first question I always ask before writing any reviews is would I go back/use this resource again etc. The answer here is definitely yes. It is a lovely little cottage for a short break in a peaceful location where the only thing likely to wake you is the clip clop of horses being put out to graze. The facilities are excellent and even in cold wet weather, the cottage stays warm and cosy. The added (free) extras of eggs, milk, tea and biscuits is a very welcoming bonus. My only qualification would be that a bit more explanation on the access - unload your car at the top door but access the cottage at the bottom door would have avoided some confusion for us. A little sketch map of the farm layout with parking, access and keybox marked would be a useful addition to the otherwise excellent instructions.

As well as written directions, a map would be a great help, particularly when the property is located in a leaa than easy to find place!

Went up for the whit Friday band contest ...stayed 4 days . Beautiful location on a working farm, a brisk ten minute walk to the pub the another ten into diggle itself. Beautiful barn conversion with all mod cons , loved it so much we've already booked for next year. If you stay you have to get an ice cream at grandpa greenes .

This location of Jenny's Cottage was utterly gorgeous, situated in amongst miles and miles of luscious rolling countryside. The accommodation was beautiful: an adorable two-storey cottage with all the mod cons and extremely helpful and friendly owner. There were also cats, dogs, horses and lambs wandering about which I particularly loved.

Highly recommend, it was great value, very clean and very comfortable. A great launch point to discover the local area (and Manchester was only 15 miles away. We'll be back and are recommending to friends and family. Don't think the website and photos actually do it full justice.

There were wonderful views from the upstairs windows. It was good to have two entrances, one into the kitchen/living area, and the other directly to the bedroom/bathroom. It meant that as older people we didn't need to walk down a slope. There was a good fridge and everything you need to cook. If you like to be in the country, then this place will not disappoint you. There were stables on site, too. There is a good wood burning stove, as well as other heating.

Excellent cottage owners, very friendly, couldn't do enough for us. It was very comfortable and the location was what we wanted. Had a good source of information in the cottage of places to visit and there was even a map of local shops and places to eat etc.

Cosy little bolt hole for a romantic weekend or week away from it all on a working farm. Lots of cute lambs and chickens to play with, amazing views and close to lots of areas of interest and heritage.

The service was good: nothing was too much trouble for the owners. And we loved the accommodation. The location was out of the way - just right. What we liked most about the place was the privacy and the peace and quiet. All in all, a perfect choice. Recommend it to anyone.
