This 18th-century cottage has been transformed into a modern dwelling perfect for both work and leisure. We love the upstairs terrace, where you can enjoy alfresco dining (barbecue, anyone?) and evening drinks – plus, you have the best views of the landscaped gardens in Cannizaro Park. The snug office space, complete with a printer, will come in handy if you're travelling for business, and you're bound to sleep soundly in the cosy eaves bedroom. Wake up early for a walk on Wimbledon Common, before walking into the village for brunch at a chic eatery. Or, take the tube to Kensington for a day out at London's famed museums.

*The single bed in the office room can be pulled out to make two singles.
*The terrace is accessed via a set of external stairs or through the window in the office.
*This is an old building with narrow staircases, so it may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
*The terrace overlooks the park, but there isn't much foot traffic, so it feels relatively private. You'll also only be seen when standing up and looking out over the beautiful view.
