Set moments from the thriving boutiques, bars and café scene of High Street Kensington, this is one of London’s most sought-after addresses. While the interiors may feel a little dated for some, it’s all well cared for, and the small private balcony overlooking the leafy quiet street below is a bonus. It’s worth noting this home only welcomes children over twelve years old, and at full occupancy, the last two guests will have to make do with a sofa bed in the lounge. Here for the sights? Travelling about is a cinch with Kensington High Street Underground a two-minute walk away.

Local guide
About Kensington
Affluent and incredibly central, Kensington is a great base for exploring London on foot. Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are on your doorstep and so are the Victoria and Albert, Science, and Natural History Museums. The streets are attractive and well maintained (grand, white stucco facades aplenty) and your neighbours will be a wealthy, conservative set. Lots of positives but probably not the place to let your hair down.
