Behind the facade of this period home lives a world of style and luxury. The modern amenities really make it a standout space. The high spec kitchen includes a large Wolf gas cooker with griddle, a full-size wine fridge and dumbwaiter to the dining space upstairs, for the most sophisticated of evenings. In the main living area, there’s a hidden bar for cocktail-making or tea-brewing (depending on your mood). There’s also a state-of-the-art audiovisual system, with built-in speakers and one of the largest TVs we've ever seen.

Home truths:
* There is no storage in the basement bedroom, but there's lots of space in the walk-in wardrobe on the first floor
* The master bedroom on the top floor faces the street – while there is triple glazing, you can hear the occasional bus stopping outside
* Some areas of the carpet in the basement had chemical stains
