Once Westminster's Fire Brigade Station, this smart bolthole's Grade II listed Edwardian exteriors make quite the first impression. As does the communal courtyard gardens that greet you as you step inside – it's an unexpected and welcome perk for a home this central. While we can't fault the contemporary interiors, the views from the boutique-style bedroom aren't the best, and the living and kitchen space is pocket-sized. But with a fine-dining Indian restaurant on-site for easy meals, we don't think you'll mind. Set within strolling distance of Westminster's hotspots, including Westminster Hall and Big Ben, and just a four-minute walk from St James's Park Tube, the location is unbeatable.
Home truths: *The entrance, lift access and communal gardens are shared with the building's other residents.
*A concierge is available each weekday from 9am to 5pm. Outside these hours and on weekends, a member of the host team will greet you at check-in.
*The kitchen is compact and better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
*There’s air-con in the kitchen and living room but not in the bedroom or bathroom.
*The views from the apartment aren’t overly inspiring.
*The apartment faces an internal courtyard, so while you won’t be disturbed by street noise, you may hear people passing by from time to time. Light sleepers might want to pack earplugs.*Please note that this home is equipped with a sensor that monitors smoke, decibel levels, and occupancy. It's camera-free and doesn't record conversations or store personal data.
