Believe it or not, this home actually used to be a barn. There are no animals left, just lots of character and charm. Set in the Cotswolds, in between Stow and Cheltenham, it's part of a larger estate complete with a children's playground and a wonderful on-site pantry that serves excellent coffee and food. A mix of eye-catching antique pieces and quirky art installations, it opens up to a bright, welcoming courtyard that’s perfect for both relaxing and socialising. We also loved the private pool (yes, you read that right), where you can enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding greenery and grassland.
Home truths: *The host is happy to accommodate groups larger than twelve in some of the other properties on the estate if needed – please contact MatchMaking for more information
*Some of the bathrooms were tired-looking when we visited – the grouting, in particular, needs some attention
*It’s filled with quirky art pieces like wax figures, which might not be to everyone’s taste
*It’s split across two floors – be prepared for some up and down
*Two guests would be on pull-out beds in bedroom two and four
