The town of St Mary's, which lies nearby the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is best known for being the location of its 13th-century parish church. Many interesting places and landmarks, including Mouldon Hill Country Park, Lydiard Park, Jubilee Lake Nature Reserve, and the historic site of Ringsbury, are only a short drive from the village.
