Situated on the westerly edge of the Forest of Dean and lying within the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural beauty, the village of English Bicknor is steeped in the history of this fascinating area.
From your door you are served with access onto the countryside and ancient woodlands of which you can cross to gain access to Symonds Yat Rock, and just a little further are the banks of the River Wye where you can cross the Wye on the penny ferry or wander on up to Biblins suspension bridge. For the more adventurous there is caving, abseiling and canoeing available from Symonds Yat, and a high wire rope course from Mallards Pike.
