The village enjoys a peaceful location surrounded by ancient woodlands and is perfect for both walkers and cyclists with access to the forest trails from the church. There is plenty to see and do for all tastes, Cannop Cycle Centre for mountain biking and the family cycle trail, for trail runners the Adidas Trail at Mallards Pike, the sculpture trail and Dean Heritage Museum, plus nature reserves, all within 5 miles.
