This single-storey lodge has two bedrooms including a king-size with en-suite shower, and a twin, along with a shower room and an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric flame-effect stove. Appliances include a gas oven and hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and hairdryer, and for entertainment there is a TV, WiFi and a selection of books, as well as on-site facilities. Outside, there is off-road parking and wraparound decking with a barbecue and furniture. Fuel, power, bed linen, towels and a highchair are all provided. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Mersea Island is one of the UK's most easterly islands. The island's biodiversity attracts hikers, birdwatchers, and watersports enthusiasts. The east provides pristine, isolated places abounding with animals and wonderful beaches, while the west has shopping, cafés, restaurants, and watersports. The island's oysters may be bought from huts or savoured in local restaurants. It's about nine miles from Colchester, a magnificent town with a castle, museums, a zoo, superb sports and leisure facilities, a cinema, great shopping, and nice restaurants. Ipswich has a good retail district, museums, galleries, and the fashionable Waterfront marina with wine bars, restaurants, and river boat cruises. A memorable island for a vacation.
