The little cottage was lovely, and was a rare place where it was actually even nicer than the pictures! Beautiful garden, cosy little cottage, friendly host. It was a wonderful escape from London for us.

A lovely cottage, very quiet and had a lovely conservatory to eat in.. I did not use the wood burning stove but wood is available on site to buy. Kitchen was just right, very good wifi and the bedroom is so cute! As it was winter I did not sit in the garden but imagine in summer it must be idyllic. Not far from Heathfield town for shops.I did not have a car so used taxis when I needed to get about. The owner greeted me and afterwards unless I needed to ask anything( I didn't) was left in peace and quiet. Pretty lights in the conservatory and nicely decorated interior.

Really good location for our planned visits in the area.. With underfloor heating the cottage was always warm and comfortable, all the facilities were there to fulfill our needs. The nearby pub (app.200 yards) was very good and served us well. Access to the nearby PO in Rushlake Green also was a plus point.

Only had wifi part of the time, the place wasn’t overly clean, the owner went away for three days and we weren’t notified that she was going away, cars coming and going all the time.. Wouldn’t stay there again.

We’ve just had the most wonderful holiday in the idyllic Glenwood Cottage.. Everything was just perfect and Nikki made us feel very welcome. Lots of lovely touches throughout this very comfortable cottage and it is set in the most beautifully relaxing surroundings. A real home from home.

It was an ideal base for exploring East Sussex, great accommodation, very relaxing sitting in the wild flower garden, especially in the shade when the temperature was in the 30s!

The cottage is an absolute delight.. The fixtures, fittings and furnishings are of a high quality. The bathroom has an excellent shower and a heated towel rail, something which many cottages lack. The kitchen is adequate for 2 people and contains all the equipment you can imagine. The sitting room has comfortable seating and the conservatory is a joy to be in on a warm summers day. There are many places to visit nearby and a pub serving good food within easy walking distance. I recommend a visit to Wood Glen for a thoroughly enjoyable cottage break in tranquil countryside that cannot fail to be enjoyed

We enjoyed a week here and were so lucky with the weather. Nikki is helpful and friendly and she soon sorted out a minor glitch we encountered with the wifi. This attractive house is in a lovely quiet location, set in beautiful gardens. The conservatory is an excellent place to relax and we made good use of the two reclining chairs in there after long, busy days exploring the area. The house is tastefully furnished, comfortable and warm with all mod cons. We ate a couple of evening meals at The Three Cups Inn which is only a short walk away. We also had some meals at Elite in Heathfield, with their £9.95 mezzes for two people being unbeatable value at less than a fiver each. What is good about Heathfield is that it has free parking (unlike most of the other towns in the area which unfortunately do charge). However, you can park for three hours free at Sainsburys in Tunbridge Wells and Tesco in Lewes (and yes we did shop in them both!). There are lots of interesting towns within easy reach, such as Rye, Battle, Lewes, Tunbridge Wells, to name but a few. There are also a good number of historic houses and gardens in the area, including Michelham Priory (HHA), Batemans (NT), Scotney Castle (NT), Bodiam Castle (NT), Great Dixter House and Garden (HHA), Sissinghurst (NT) and many more. We could have done with a second week to see all the places we wanted to visit, as there are so many in that corner of the country and we didn't have time to get to them all.

Fabulous location to explore West Sussex.. Cottage perfect for a couple looking for a 'get away from it all' break. Lovely walks from the cottage. Great pub only a two minute walk. Plenty to do, close drive to a number of attractions.

This cottage was perfect for a quiet break in November.. Although the weather was bitterly cold the cottage was very warm and welcoming, infact I was reluctant to go outside on some days. It's location suited me as it enabled me to see a lot of East Sussex and the beautiful woods surrounding the area were stunning in Autumn. I would definitely like to visit here again as I felt totally relaxed from the minute I arrived.

Situated in a beautiful part of East Sussex and ideal for anyone who loves the English countryside. Ideal for walkers with one walk straight from the cottage and others nearby but yet close enough to the coast at Rye, Hastings and Eastbourne (for Beachy Head). Good pub food available about 200 yards away and in the pretty village of Rushlake Green (1 mile). The cottage is very well furnished and fitted out and has a superb conservatory overlooking the garden which we used both for eating and just relaxing in the very comfy recliners. Nikki the owner made us very welcome right from the start with some lovely plums from her garden which were soon turned into a plum crumble. We would not hesitate to return.

The Cottage was in an ideal location. The décor was eclectic and aesthetically pleasing and the property was spacious. The conservatory was ideal for relaxing in and we would certainly consider visiting again.
