Slightly further afield is Hastings (12 miles) which offers plenty of family attractions for young and old alike. Nature lovers should head to the untamed landscape of Dungeness (10 miles), which boasts one of the largest shingle landscapes in the world and large communities of plants and animals. The front door of this light and airy property opens into a hallway with space for dropping off coats and shoes.
