A Napoleonic stronghold, a large nuclear bunker that offers award-winning tours, and a lighthouse that is now a museum are some of the historical attractions in the nearby communities. The three-mile-long, spindly, and eerie Spurn Peninsula can be found further along the coast. Withernsea's sand and pebble beach has a majestic entrance like a tower, plenty of wonderful fish and chip cafés nearby, and more. Withernsea has two shops for your convenience, a classic promenade, gorgeous gardens, children's playgrounds, and entertaining attractions like amusements.

We had a good 5 nights at this spacious, dog-friendly house, which is perfect for a large family of 9 with 6 very well behaved dogs ,no doors downstairs which made the house flow well but no privacy or quiet area, the two double beds were particularly comfy as were the singles but be mindful if a lot of adults as other beds are bunks. The off-road parking was ample. The location was excellent, with the beach and shops 5 minutes walk away, the enclosed back garden, all decking though smallish and directly next to the neighbours is without grass, but ideal for dogs, eating outside using the hot tub etc . The social areas, especially the pool table, were great and made for fun family time. However, there were a few areas that could use improvement, some parts of the outside areas are grubby, cigarette butts in the planters and old sweet wrappers etc left around under the steps by the hot tub and the fake grass area was dirty with old some plastic pool in one corner was not an area that could be sat in at all but useful for the dogs! The outside could just do with a bit of general TLC , Some parts of the house, including the pans and BBQ weren't as clean as we would have liked and needed cleaning before using, but kitchen was well equipped including coffee pods, not a waste paper basket in sight though not even in the bathroom which was inconvenient. Additionally, there was a lack of instructions on how to use the cooker, heating system, and hot tub which would have been helpful.( heating was coming on and house was very hot with no knowledge of how to adjust , and did not want to bother the owner ) Overall, despite these minor issues, our family enjoyed our stay. The house had plenty to keep everyone entertained, The host was very helpful and we appreciated an early entrance .

Lovely big house to stay in with a group of 8 of us for a 60th birthday celebration. Spacious rooms, pool table and well equipped kitchen. Hot tub out the back is bliss.

Honestly this has to be one of the loveliest places I've stayed. The house was clean when we arrived the rooms are all spacious. It's modern but kept all its quirky old house feeling. The host checked in to make sure all was OK. Highly recommend this place.

This house is amazing. The furnishings are all top quality, and the location is great for the town centre and the beach. There was an ice hockey table, pool table, computer games machines and a fabulous Hot Tub. There was so much to keep all the kids (aged 4 to 15) occupied we hardly saw them. The welcome pack was the best I have ever seen, and the kitchen had everything anyone could ask for. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds lovely and comfortable with quality bedding. Well definitely be back.
