The house faces the sea, with Marine Drive directly in front.. It's not a busy road, but it is on the bus route. There are double yellow lines, so the drive is never blocked. If you can parallel park, its quite easy to get onto the apron in front of the house, (large MPV). Open plan front room diner which opens out onto a small patio (artificial grass, lovely sun trap, garden furniture). Comfortable sofa's, electric log fire, Sony TV and Sky box, good wi -fi. Newish kitchen, with everything you could need, range gas cooker, good sized fridge freezer, (no dishwasher, which we didn't need). Large front bedroom with comfortable bed, I thought I might be disturbed by the sea/ waves, but the opposite was the case. Slightly smaller but equally comfortable back bedroom. Good sized new bathroom with bath and shower (combi boiler). Its an old house with some DIY, but it was one of the better holiday homes we've stayed in, (we're not of the 'four in a bed' mindset). There is a chip shop and a cafe a few doors down and also another within spitting distance. There is the Marine pub at the top of the road, round the corner is a great park for walking the dogs, it has a new children's play park and a spanking new scooter/ BMX/ skateboarding park. Also a post office (Nisa), cafe, butchers, chip shop, or walk a little further and your in the middle of the town. The Mere walk was disappointing, but we loved the railway walk and north along the beach towards Brid.A really enjoyable holiday, we will be going back.
