  Short walk to the dog freindly pub and lovely walks from the front door. Very generous welcome goodies when we arrived. Great location to visit the area, with plenty to see in a short drive, including the coast. Log burner in the lounge was very cosy and perfect for our winter break (even including logs for the whole stay). Thank you for a relaxing time.

• "The cottage was very comfortable - although on the main road through the village, the cottage was lovely and quiet."

  The enclosed patio was ideal for our dogs. The pub nearby was excellent - great food and friendly people. The circular walk was so good, we walked for miles with our dogs, we had a beautiful blue sky and gorgeous scenery. The welcome goodies were very much appreciated and enjoyed!

• "A lovely cottage set in a great location."

  The cottage was extremely well equipped and clean, the beds were very comfortable as were the living room sofas. The local pub is a 10 minute stroll away. York, Castle Howard, Bempton cliffs and Bridlington all within a 40 minute drive. I would highly recommend staying here.

• "A beautifully renovated cottage, situated in the quiet village of North Dalton."

  Lovely countryside around, ideal for walking our two dogs. The welcome pack on arrival was a delightful touch! (Even including some doggie treats). Very comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen and lovely modern bathroom. Easy reach of RSPB Bempton cliffs, where we saw loads of nesting birds, including puffins! We would happily recommend!

• "Absolutely fantastic cottage everything you need for a comfortable holiday."

  We spent Christmas there and what a delightful welcome pack included something for everybody even the dog ! The cottage was exceptional clean and the beds were so comfortable for a good nights sleep. The village is very pretty with a lovely duck pond and has some good dog walks. The surrounding towns are not far away to visit . We would definitely be back to stay again and would recommend this cottage to family and friends. 10 out of 10 .

• "My friend and I just spent 3 weeks at Corner View."

  The cottage was very comfortable and immaculate. Handy for visiting nearby towns and beaches. The Star was very welcoming too. Claire left a welcome pack and was quick to resolve very minor issues promptly. Only downside was lack of a freezer. We could have really used one as shops a car ride away. Apart from that the stay was perfect for us.

  We can’t find fault in anything, the owners have done a first class renovation and everywhere was spotless. They even left a welcome pack with several items to help us settle in including treats for the pet dog.The enclosed courtyard was ideal to let our 8 month Cockapoo puppy run around in. • "The owners of this cottage are under-selling themselves."

  The welcome pack they provide is more than just welcoming...it even included luxury dog treats! The shower is powerful as well as looking good. For us, the small backyard was a real sun trap.The village only has a pub but was pleasant, modern, dog friendly and with character. It is also a great place to tour the Wolds from being in the middle of Hornsea, Beverley, York and Pickering.

  There was basket of goodies from the owners Prosecco biscuits, eggs, the best brown bread I have tasted, plus dog treats and bacon and milk in the fridge. There was a good dog walk up the side of the house. The Star Inn 5 minutes walk away does very good food, recommend The Pies.Would definitely like to go back.

• "A really lovely property, well decorated and thought out."

  A well equipped kitchen was good with a bonus for the dishwasher. The comfortable living room was cosy, with smart tv and wood burning stove (plenty of fuel was provided). The bedrooms are good sized with comfortable beds (the mattresses are firm). The bathroom was modern, with great shower water pressure and absolutely spotless. The underfloor heating makes the cottage incredibly warm so don’t be afraid to turn those thermostats down. We were never cold! Handy for local towns and villages although a car is needed to get around the area. The village pub was handy, dog friendly and served tasty food. We were left a thoughtful welcome pack full of tasty local goodies and some treats for our dog, and the property was well stocked with items such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc. a really nice touch as other cottages we’ve stayed in we’ve been asked to bring our own supplies. We had a small issue on arrival (we didn’t have the key box code) but that was really quickly sorted by Claire and contact with Claire was swift, pleasant and helpful. The downsides for us were noise related. The road outside, whilst a B road, was a lot busier than anticipated and often with heavy noisy lorry traffic; noise from the adjoining property could be heard particularly in the living room; and the local farms had multiple bird scarers sounding. These were issues for our noise sensitive dog, who struggled to settle in the cottage in the evenings because of the unexpected and irregular nature of the noise. This is not a criticism of the cottage itself, just a reflection on our own circumstances and the owners can do nothing about these things which absolutely won’t be an issue for other guests. Corner View is one of the nicest cottages we’ve stayed in. And despite the noise issue, we would definitely stay again.

  Welcome basket was a nice surprise. Lovely and clean with good quality fixtures and fittings. Very large, comfortable beds. Good WiFi and a massive selection of dvds to choose from if nothing good on tv. A wood burner with ample supply of fuel. Nice bathroom with very deep bath and a separate shower cubicle. The owners should be proud of themselves for achieving such a welcoming and comfortable property. It's also nicely positioned, we went to York, Beverley, Hornsea and Bridlington.

• "A well maintained and comfortable cottage situated in a beautiful old village within easy walking distance across the meadow to the pub (recently refurbished and reopened )."

  Friendly owners. Good quality accommodation and everything we needed. We especially appreciated the basket of local produce and the dogs were included. A great base for travelling throughout East Yorkshire. The road gets busy at certain times but once out for the day its not an issue and the sunny back courtyard is shielded by the thick cottage walls. There is also a very good dog sitter in the village which was very useful.

• "We had a lovely week in Corner View for a second stay."

  All as described, clean, well equipped and locally sourced welcome basket. Good shower and bath with plenty of hot water and great cooker too. Weather was dry and sunny nearly all week so we didn't need to use all the games etc. It was a great base for exploring the surrounding area. We, and our dogs, enjoyed the long beaches at Fraisethorpe and Filey, approx. 35 mins away as well as Castle Howard, the Arboretum and Beverley. Look forward to staying again.

  However, due to the nature of the of age, cottage it was very dark on north side, could have done with a reading light in living room as lighting ok for TV but not for reading. Nice south facing yard which could have done with a few pots to brighten it up.

  So clean & warm. Pictures don’t justify how lovely this cottage is. Totally dog friendly, throws supplied for your dog to cuddle up on the sofa. Our hearing dog in training Jessica was welcome even to the extent that she would have been allowed up stairs, if she was at that stage of her training. Pocklington great village and good food shopping. Beverley is a must. Even though there isn’t a freezer, the ice box in the fridge is quite generous. Highly recommend this cottage

  I dont want to rave about it too much (as im worried i'll never be able to book it again!) but for me and my family, this place is perfect. The house has everything you could ask for, fully stocked kitchen drawers, to comfortable beds, and is sat in a quiet village location. It has local walks right on its doorstep, and has lots to do within a 20/30 minute drive.

  Loved seeing the photo book of the project. Perfect on a hot day with all the stone floors to keep us and the dogs cool. Enormous bed which was very clean and comfy. Everything you could wish for in the cottage. Our two dogs loved the throws for the sofas so they could cuddle up with us after a hard day on the beach! Lovely welcome pack of local produce. Great location for visiting Beverley, Castle Howard and Fraisethorpe Beach - all within 30-40 mins. Would stay again!

  The beds are really comfortable and the shower has really good water pressure. The owners also left a really generous welcome basket containing a bottle of prosecco, biscuits, fresh eggs, locally made bread and dog treats. There was even milk and local bacon in the fridge and good old Yorkshire Tea in the cupboard. Very much appreciated, thank you. I agree with previous comments about the lounge, the sofas are very low and a bit uncomfortable and the room is quite dark, even during the morning, but we spent most of our time in the gorgeous kitchen diner which we enjoyed so much it has inspired us to change our own kitchen! We used the washing machine during our stay but I couldn't find the instruction manual for the tumble dryer so used the extendable drying line in the garden, however this wasn't big enough for the load so had to use the heated towel rail and hang clothes in doorways to dry. It would have been useful to have a collapsible stand alone air dryer. There isn't a shop or pub in the village, but there is a garage within a few miles where you can get bread and milk. There is a small playground behind the village hall and a lake full of ducks to keep little ones amused. We would happily book the cottage again.

• "This was our first stay at Corner View."

  The cottage suited us perfectly. It was cosy warm and comfortable. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The village is really pretty and there were a number of short walks for early morning dog walking. We managed a couple of longer walks during the week despite Storm Dennis! This would be a perfect base for anyone wanting to explore the lovely Yorkshire Wolds whilst also being handy for York and Hull. Would definitely recommend and would certainly consider a return visit.

  Great for visiting Bridlington and the dog friendly beach at Fraisthorpe next to Brid was a great part of our visit with our dog who was welcomed at the cottage. There aren't many facilities in the village so you need to be organised for shopping and it was disappointing the pub was closed for refurbishment. But a great break enjoyed it a great deal .

  Our only problem was the seating in the lounge which was fine for young people but as my husband and I are of maturer years both with "achey" backs we found it just a little too ow for us to sit in but this was the only issue in an otherwise great stay. The local produce in the welcoming hamper was terrific and the cleanliness of the property was great.

  it is one of the best places we have ever stayed in and the welcome basket of goodies was greatly appreciated by us and the dogs. the cottage has everything that is needed for the perfect holiday and then a bit extra! ( TV;s in all the rooms, dishwasher and comfy beds and settees) the yard is very safe for the dogs and just outside the back door are open fields and public foot paths. The village has a local pub and there are plenty of restaurants within a short drive. Ideally placed for York ,Filey, Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby etc. we really enjoyed it and would thoroughly recommend it as THE perfect place to stay

  Greetings basket exceptionally good. Well equipped kitchen. Well heated. Sitting room dark, and gloomy. Almost impossible to read in there even with all the lights fully on. The seating although very modern was not built for for comfort. Bathroom well equipped, but the sink tap needs some urgent attention as does the shower controller.

  Lots of very welcome little extras, George Foreman grill, slow cooker. Maybe lacking small microwaveable bowls but other than that nothing negative to say. When we had a problem with hot water supply the owners were quick to resolve the problem. Would definitely recommend this cottage & hope for a return visit.

  The welcome hamper and flowers were a lovely gesture from the owners Claire and Andy. We loved especially the extremely comfortable bed, brilliant shower, and best of all - the wood burner stove - very, very cosy, The area is beautiful, lots of places to visit, and the coast is just a short drive away. York itself is easily accessed, and you could spend many happy days in the city doing all the usual sightseeing. We'll certainly return, hopefully for longer next time, and we would definitely recommend it to couples, families or friends. A little gem of a cottage indeed
