Area Flamborough, a charming village just four miles from Bridlington on the East Yorkshire coast, enjoys a picture-perfect location on a small peninsula. Flamborough is a wonderful place for hikers, historians, and birdwatchers, and it also features historic fishermen's cottages and a few friendly pubs and eateries. Eight miles of this coastline are protected as a Heritage site, and at Flamborough Head you may see not one but two ancient lighthouses, including Britain's very first, constructed in 1674. The spectacular 400-foot-high cliffs to the north of the village are home to one of the greatest colonies of nesting sea birds in England.
