  • "We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Badgers Sett in Winston."

The lodge is cozy, well-equipped, and perfect for unwinding, surrounded by beautiful countryside and wildlife. It’s also in a great spot for exploring, with Raby Castle and Barnard Castle just a short drive away, plus many places to eat nearby. One of our highlights was parking at Bowlees Visitor Centre, then walking from Low Force waterfall on to High Force waterfall and back one afternoon, a stunning route! The owners, Mary and Steve, were so welcoming, contacting us before our stay to see if we wanted the hot tub ready for our arrival, then on arrival we found a few lovely touch’s, such as milk, biscuits, tea/coffee, and a couple of bottles of fizz waiting for us. If you’re looking for a relaxing break with thoughtful hosts and plenty to see nearby, this is a fantastic choice!

What a lovely review, thanks so much for taking time to write it and give some great pointers for future guests. We love the area, but we are biased, so great that you have highlighted some of the interesting things in the area. Best wishes Property Owner
