I have only positive things to say.
A very pretty cottage, the interior has a luxury feel and I have serious kitchen envy now! All of the appliances are quality, as are the furnishings. Would happily live here. The beds were comfy. It was immaculately clean. The shower pressure was great. The log burner was very cosy, it's a lovely warm property anyway though.
Situated on the road through the village, the location is great, as it's a short walk to the Co-op and restaurants. . Middleton-in-Teesdale is a lovely village, with a few eateries (can wholeheartedly recommend The Forresters - a good recommendation by the locals). We didn't get chance to try the fish n chips, but they get great reviews.
I won't elaborate too much more, so you can experience the property for yourselves. I can't see anyone being disappointed with this lovely place. Will definitely return. If it isn't already apparent, we loved it!
A special mention to Sally Ann, who was very welcoming and helpful.

We had a fantastic week at Low Thearns. The owner Sally Ann was very helpful with lots of information about the local area.
The cottage is beautiful throughout, to the point where our son was taking photo's for ideas to use in his own cottage.
The cottage was really well equipped with everything you could need for a lovely week and the welcome hamper of local biscuits, chocolate, free range eggs, milk & lemonade etc was a lovely touch.
We brought four very expensive mountain bikes with us and we were able to lock them securely in a garage underneath the property.
The village has quaint little shops and a couple of pubs for a welcome beer after a days walking or cycling, and surrounding area is really picturesque. We especially enjoyed exploring the small lanes around the reservoirs, watching people fly fishing in the local river and a lovely walk to around Low & High Force waterfalls.
We booked via Low Thearns holiday cottage Facebook page and she so that we were able to sort out the bike storage.
This was far easier than the Sykes cottage site.
So many thanks Sally Ann, your cottage was beautiful and I am sure we will be back.
