Staindrop's broad village green is surrounded by a variety of fascinating businesses, taverns, and cafes. Barnard Castle, a market town with a castle, the Bowes Museum, and a plethora of shops and cafes, is just 5 miles away. Teesdale is a great place to go for a walk.
