It was totally refurbished in 1994 and now provides modern living amenities. The buildings in the village are all higgledy piggledy with architectural examples from the 16th, 17th,18th and 19th centuries. The village has a spring and stream running down the main street and boasts ducks and geese in the spring pond and on the village green. Perfect for those who enjoy exploring as there are great walks from Portesham, many with fantastic views over Weymouth Bay, Portland, the Fleet, Lyme Bay and the Devon Coast all at the same time.

Reviews

Lovingly and detailed furnished cottage in a quiet road with a wonderful little terrace.

Mr B,

Good location for sightseeing around the area. Lovely cottage and very well equipped. Home from home. Perfect for families up to 6.

Mrs R,

Fantastic place we all loved staying in. My daughter loved the super cosy kids room with pink shading on the roof window so much that she have not woken up one single night as she does regularly at home and she has made her bed every morning with all decorations :-). Bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable and spacious, living room cosy and kitchen super well organised and equipped. The village is also incredibly quiet and beautiful. We have had an amazing long weekend there! Some great day trips with kids: Blue Pool (45 mans away), Weymouth sandy beach (20 mns), Moors Valley Park (58 ins, great on the way from or to London).
